I was going to take the Automotive Technician Exam. But I bought the wrong book. It's 944, not 955.

Didn’t shows you why it’s the answer

This book will give you some experience if you are taking the 955 test. So you will kind of know what to expect on the test. That being said the book consists of just a bunch of practice tests and answer keys. And each test had maybe 1 or 2 questions where the answer in the answer key was just plain wrong. There is no educational or reference material offered for you to learn from. So if you're going to take the 955 this book is probably worth your time from the standpoint of PRACTICE. But there's nothing here that is all that educational about the material, as the 955 covers such a HUGE variety of topics. Good luck. I sold the book on eBay after taking the test...

Helpful on getting some idea and search on a google. Accurate.

…its really just a high-level guide. It’s not very useful for teaching. As others mentioned there are a lots of practice examples with answers but very little logic explaining how they got the answers. Also the drawings/illustrations were horrible. It was difficult to determine what were some of the objects. In my opinion, the book is overwhelming and so I have a feeling the test will be as well. Good luck to all of you.
