Interesting combination of licorice and banana
What an interesting flavor combination––banana and licorice. But that's exactly what's combined in these Apekoppen ("Ape Heads"). Soft and easy to chew, each piece contains a section of soft, sweet licorice, and an equally soft section of banana-flavored candy. I don't remember seeing this combination in any other candy, but it works remarkably well. Here's a list of ingredients: Sugar, glucose-fructose syrup, modified food starch, molasses, gelatin, licorice (3%), grape-sugar flavor, citric acid (lemon acid), fruit and plants extracts (passionfruit, mango, gardenia, orange), shining agent (beeswax white). May contain traces of milk.
