This was a life saver for my husband and I! He is recovering from an accident that put him in a coma for a month..so he is still a little off balance. We had a bedside commode frame over our toilet before and he hated it. I installed this product today and he loves it! He said it is so comfortable and the height is perfect. I like the addition of the handles as well.It was super easy to install. I’m a woman with no plumbing experience, had never changed out a toilet lid, and I had it on in 10 minutes. No tools were required to install, but having a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the bolt was a help. Overall I am super satisfied with this product and so is my husband.

This is very helpful for the disabled. A little tall so you may need a foot stool. Very stable and does not wobble

My wife selected this product since she would need it after undergoing a knee replacement. We weren't sure that it would be exactly what we needed, but it is nearly perfect. Installation was easy. The only thing that needed care was to make sure that the wing nuts did not cross-thread when installed on the bolts. I was working in a small area, and installing the wing nuts was done by touch. The bolts were of sufficient length to allow enough movement to get it right. The toilet is a Kohler, and the existing seat was one that lowers slowly, and the riser fit well. My wife is quite pleased, and this will save her considerable effort and pain when getting up from the toilet. The one drawback is that I will have to improve my aim considerably (older guys will understand what I mean).

I have a generous size 14 booty and I had no trouble with having enough room to wipe myself. If you are much heavier, then you might feel it’s too small between the side rails. I really liked and needed the side rails and elevated seat after hip surgery. Highly recommended.

Indispensable if you don’t have a chair height toilet and you’ve had spinal or hip surgery. The handles are so helpful.

I am so glad I bought this. It adds the height I need to take the pressure off my knees. I was having trouble lifting myself off the toilet without it after falling on the ice onto both knees tearing my ACL and meniscus.

It was fairly easy to install but it didn’t lock down as good as it should have.

I purchased this product to replace a round raised toilet seat for my mother-in-law. Installation was simple and the seat is better than the round one I removed. It is elongated but it doesn't fit on the bowl properly and it is not possible to move the seat further to the front of the bowl.After several months of use, I am revising my review. The bolts that attach the seat to the bowl are about 4 inches long and pass through from the top of the seat to the bowl. Because of the length of the bolts, any shifting of the seat will put more force on the nuts causing them to loosen. The seat should have been designed so the back of it rests a very short distance, maybe an inch, from the bowl which would have allowed for a much snugger fit and harder for the seat to become loose and move around. Because the seat moves easily, the metal supports under it come in direct contact with the bowl. I now have 4 black marks on the bowl from where the metal rubbered against it. These marks cannot be removed. There were 2 rubber pads provided with the seat which were probably designed to take of this issue but they come loose and one likely fell into the toilet. I bought a pack of rubber spacers and put 4 of them under the seat near the metal frame. I will be replacing this seat with something better if I can find one.Update, Sept 22nd 2021. Last week I replaced this seat with a similar product from Bemis which was easy to install and does not shift back and forth. When I removed the Nova seat, I notices that it had four impression points on the top of the plastic seat where it made contact with with the regular toilet seat. See the second picture. My mother-in-law who uses it weighs 145 pounds so it may not have been before it was damaged further and had to be replaced.

I am returning this, like I did the other different one I bought, not because it is defective but just because it was too small for my buxom bottom. Attached fine and was sturdy but it seems to me the handles, just like the other one, are not made for a larger sized person. If you are smaller you will find this works well for you.

Fitted it on a toilet with an elongated seat. It fits securely, no wobble, no shifting. The handles are strong and provide support when lowering or raising oneself. Toilet seat attached on top securely with no shifting at all - the toilet seat may still be raised or lowered for a man's requirements. Recommended.

it is a sturdy product. The only draw back is that for People like me who had hip surgery it does not have a support in the back. It may be asking too much but a bit of support in the back will go a long way.
