One of the best things I ever bought!I am able to raise my grow light in precision increments according to how much my plants grow. The quality and workmanship are good as well as the materials used to make them. They have eye appeal. They function as they are supposed to. The ropes are long enough for various heights. The packaging is nice and I am beyond satisfied!Thank you for making this product

First off, i am using this to hang a grow light so i can start my vegetable indoors this year. I opened these last night, unsure about what i was going to be getting, and i was pleasantly surprised. I used one of those large rubber covered hooks (like something you would use to hand a rake or a shovel from in your garage) and screwed it into the rafter in my basement. I put the carabiner over the hook, and the mechanism to raise and lower the remaining carabiner is extremely easy to use. It is so easy to use, one handed operation is possible. I like that there are no preset lengths, you can move the light up 1ft, or 1/8th of an inch. I am very happy with this very will priced product.

I went from using stands for fluorescent seedling lights to using these ropes hanging from ceiling hooks for my new LED seedling lights (tomatoes and peppers) and couldn't be more pleased. They work exactly as advertised and seem quite sturdy. The ratcheting mechanism seems solid and easy to release to lower my lights. Added benefit: The ropes are long enough that I can loop them through the ceiling hooks so that pulling on the free end actually RAISES the fixture, so no need for ladders over my seedling tables after installation!

These rope hangers were purchased for a grow light and have performed great. They hold up well, and are easy to maneuver and extend or tighten. Anyone who is looking for a great pair of hangers at a good price, look no further. A great buy for any grower!

when they are used correctly, they work wonders. I've seen ppl use upside down. You want the part that adjusts the height of the light ON the light end, not on the ceiling. Makes lifting them up for watering or transplanting very convenient. Also to adjust height as seedlings grow. Highly recommend. Works much better than chains and hooks I was using.

I ordered these to hold up an LED light and they did the job so I would definitelyrecommend them. They are not cheap or flimsy, they actually are very sturdy.

Update: plastic mechanism that holds them together snapped broke by the screw attachement on a windy day, these are not weatherproof..Made my life easy applying tension for my 14x20 sunshade sail. Just hook, pull, lock and tie. This pair with turnbuckles are a must if you don't like to use regular ropes like me. Hope it lasts and survive winds.

In the world of hydroponics, it is sometimes difficult to judge whether a particular item is best bought online or at the store. It can definitely go both ways, with quality and price fluctuating greatly between the two. In this case, the light hangers are definitely best bought from these guys online. I have bought over a dozen of these from both lowballer and from my local shop. The ones from the shop were cheaply made with the hooks held on by simple knots, which actually resulted in me losing a light and severely damaging a plant in an epic battle with gravity. These hangers from lowballer are made with quality with secure metal fasteners keeping the rope in place on the carabiners. The ratcheting pulleys work flawlessly and have given me no problems.

This unit works great and the plants seem to be doing well. I'm growing micro greens and they appear healthy. With regular fluorescent lights, you see the "green" of the plant but with these everything looks pink. That's different but as long as they work, it's all good. I'll but doing some hydroponic lettuce after the greens. Gives of very little heat as well. Great purchase.Edit: Oops, I made a mistake here. I was reviewing an LED light. This clips are great, however. I'd give them a 5 star.

The ratchet system is working very well. I can tie my kayak very quickly and it solid. (Note: the box contain 2 rope Ratchet). Work very well!

Could be cheaper, but bought in a 6 pair pack not bad. Using them for hanging grow lights in our living room. They sure beat chains or rope.Function is very simple and solid. Definitely recommend for any hanging function for light to medium duty.

Great straps ... only thing I don't like is I wish the hooks were closed more other than that great
