Smart Bidet Sm 100

I installed this item today. So far: GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!! It came WAAAAAYYYY before the estimated delivery time and was sooooooo simple to install. The seller followed up with an email that included detailed installation instructions and a link for the youtube video. Watch that, read and reread the included detailed instructions with illustrations and you will have no problems. The item works EXACTLY as described and is simple to use. Don't be put off by the "cold water only" designation, it is room temperature water and is refreshing. This is the best $32 I've spent on personal hygiene items. Goodbye irritating wipes that clog septic systems and hello total satisfaction. I will update this post as time progresses, I like to buy things once, and we'll see if it holds up to everyday use.

I can concur with Robzorinoon' review December 10, 2015Overall this bidet LOOKS good HOWEVER good luck getting it to fit a standard American toilet in that the ONE size adapter does not fit. I took the fitting to a local plumbing supply store and they concluded that the adapter is most likely metric thus it would not fit.This is a real review by a real person. The billion plus lottery winners were announced today January 2016.

5 stars if the kit included extra tubing. I recommend purchasing new toilet seat bolts, along with washers for the toilet bolts (to create space for the bidet unit to sit flush). If you live in the US, plan to take your fill hose, along with the bidet hose fitting, to your local plumbing store and just tell them your trying to install a bidet. They'll know what to do. I also recommend going to Walmart or somewhere that sells aquarium supplies and get some aquarium tubing-- very useful finishing touch if you need it. On one of my toilets, I was able to fit the control housing comfortably under the tank lid, to anchor the control without using the adhesive tape. Overall, this is definitely the best design for my dollar. I'm very pleased.

This kit comes with a 1/2 adapter only. The water supply valve can come in either 1/2 or 3/8. My house is equipped with the 3/8 therefore I have to change the valve to the 1/2 in order to install this bidet. It would have been a very simple installation if it did come with the 3/8 in addition to the 1/2; so instead of an half hour project turned into a few hours.

This is the only bidet that was available at the time to fit a one piece toilet with a french curve. This bidet is cheap looking plastic but sadly there aren't many options out there for a one piece toilet. Install is difficult since the adapter provided is not a standard one so expect a trip to the Big Orange Box Store for the appropriate fitting. This is the fitting that worked great for me, Watts 1/4 in. Plastic Adapter Stop Valve [1/4 in. Plastic Adapter Stop Valve] Model # P-467CS. It costs around $13 which should be factored into the price of this bidet. I've had one leak in the control valve so far, slow leak that went through the ceiling into the downstairs. I wouldn't use this product in a vacation home per say, I don't trust it enough to be without leaks, hence why I've installed a $10 water alarm. As you can see this is a lot of extra work and expense for this bidet. Unless you have a french curve one piece Kohler toilet or similar definitely look elsewhere. Luxe Bidet Neo Series are pressure tested for leaks. I have two installed and love it, no leaks, great customer service, all the parts included just wish they made one for french curve toilets.

We love these little mini bidet devices. Once you get the hang of the install, it's quick and easy. Over the 2 years, I've installed one on our powder room toilet for guests, then on the toilet in the master bath, and finally in our other full bath the kids use. Our toilets are the smaller American Standard Cadet model, which has a slightly rounded upper cistern. That can make the included adhesive tricky and less able to keep the control unit on the side of the toilet and unobtrusive (the best feature of the micro bite). We solved this by applying a line of DAP white bath sealant caulk (the stuff used around the edges of the tub; stronger and more waterproof than regular caulk) around the edges of the adhesive base that the round control unit snaps into. With a rounded tank, the controller might not fit flat, which it needs to in order to securely remain in place. We then just held it in place for 48 hours with a couple of strips of painters tape. I've yet to have one come off, and you can place the control unit wherever you want, on the side of either the tank or the bowl, depending on your preference.As with anything from Asia, there are bona fide and there are knock offs. The only vendor we've found that consistently sells bona fide top quality Smart Bidet Micro Bidet is New-Today. We also only buy units on Amazon, in case there is any issue with it.(We got one bum unit - a controller that leaked no matter where I placed the unit or how I connected the tubing - from an unknown seller on ebay. We kept the parts for any future tubing replacement, etc... and chalked it up to live and learn. We then turned around and replaced it with another unit from Now-Today on Amazon.)Everyone who visits out home comments how small and neat these devices are.

As all of the recent reviewers have stated, THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH AMERICAN TOILETS. I went to the plumbing store 3 different times to try to get it right, and when I thought I finally had it, I walked back into the bathroom later that day to find the floor covered in water. Amazon needs to de-list this product. Verrrry frustrating!

Work well after the adapter to tap off water was replaced. (The adapter shipped with the SM100 kit does not fit either end of the water connection to the tank.) Had to add a stailess steel retainer to prevent the nozzle assembly from popping off the mounting piece. After these hurdles were overcome the darn thing works like a charm! To prevent cold water from the pipe to "shock" the user, a coil of fridge connection tubing (20ft) was used to connect the valve to the nozzle , replacing the 2 ft long tubing that came wit the kit. This helps bring the water to room temperature and eases the cold water shock.
