GACE Mathematics 022, 023 Teacher Certification Study Guide Test Prep

This was a great study guide, as advertised. There was very little instruction, though, and only the bare minimum of review questions. The practice test and answer guide were wonderful. In all, this was a very good way to know what to study with other resources, and was a comprehensive and accurate management tool for studying for the GACE Mathematics exam.

I bought the original version of this (written in 2008) a couple of years ago but was dismayed by how many errors and just basic typos there were in the book. I am finally taking the test this summer and need to pass the first time so decided to get the revised version. You would think that in 5 years they at least would have fixed the typos! There is no difference that I can see between the two books...they might as well have not re-released it. It is going back now.

Ordered this book expecting it to help with my studies for the GACE Mathematics. I went through the entire book, that had little instruction, took the practice test at the end and I did pretty well on the book's practice test! I was feeling really good about myself after taking the practice test in the book.This changed when I took a practice test online that was created by GACE Mathematics... This book does not prepare you for the challenging questions that mirror actual questions on the GACE Mathematics.Do not buy, look for materials online that are sponsored as study materials by GACE, this way you are more prepared for the GACE Mathematics than I was.

There's were so many mathematical errors in this book. Its a good thing I recalled enough from what I learned in high school to see these errors. Pages duplicated, topics were in a weird order in each section, answers did not match the problems (sometimes didn't even relate to the problem), and there were multiple typos. Hopefully it is enough to pass the exam!

It's a decent place to start when studying for these exams but the exams are about 10 times more difficult.
