Brings the laughs!
This was a Christmas present for my brother. We ended up playing it a few times and it went on most of the night. Tons of laughs. Mostly good for those who remember the show's early years well. Great game and the game pieces are highly detailed!

Wrong game board
The game has a game board in it for a Lord of the Rings game. I’m returning it today so we can buy a new one. I sure hope the new one comes with the correct board. :(

Great Game
Fun and challenging game! I have had so much fun with it! The figures are so cute and they are characters from the show. If you love SNL as much as I do you should get this game! It's a great price for loads of fun.

Nothing Trivial
It's generally hard to plod through this game, even with the DVD material. As an avid fan of SNL, having watched nearly every episode live since season one, I found myself consistently frustrated with the nature of the questions in this game. This isn't a real example, but it ought to give you my drift: "In the 1979 episode where Dan Aykroyd bumped into Buck Henry during the water cooler sketch, what color was the stapler next to the picture of Richard Nixon?" Even if I knew the answer to questions like these, it would not make me feel any better about my SNL fanhood. The most fun we had with this game came when we set the board and pieces aside and read through a stack of cards to find the most interesting questions and answers. Mostly, it was the scene-invoking anecdotal information surrounding the actual question that was most fun, as opposed to the Q&A itself.

Great concept but not for the casual fan!
We played this game for the first time last night and here are the initial thoughts:Game Pieces: The game pieces are ingenious! You can play as one of several classic SNL characters such as landshark, Conehead or the Ladies Man. The pie pieces slide into the base of each piece and stay put even when the piece is turned upside down! This is great for us since we sometimes like to stop a game and pick it up on another day.Game Board: The creativity in the game pieces ended there. The board looks really dated with graphics that look like they fell out of the 80's. They had the opportunity to design a really cool bored and I thought it fell short.DVD: I love the addition of the DVD for "pie" questions. The navigation is a little jerky and hard to scroll from category to category and at one point, I accidently pressed stop and we had to start over again (and got some repeat questions.) We both loved the feature that you can "steal pie" if the person on the pie space doesnt know the answer or guesses wrong. It makes the game go much faster.Questions: My husband and I consider oursleves die-hard SNL fans but were really surprised at how difficult the questions were! The game focuses on really specific details, lines, etc. from characters that were not just the mainstream characters. We got a lot of laughs remembering the episodes, but were stumped on a lot of questions. Also, the game includes characters and sketches from the show's beginning all the way to the current season. We were surprised to get a question involving Fred Armisan since he is a fairly new cast member.Overall: Entertaining but definitely for the true-blue fans. The very difficult questions got a little frustrating!

Nostalgic SNL
I state watching SNL back when Gilda, Chevy, John and Dan were doing stupid comedy.
