Didn't really need.
Didn't really help w/seeding, although I haven't used it for very fine seeds.

The seed sower is helpful but only with larger seeds. Lettuce and carrot seeds for example, did not dispense as well as larger seeds such as spinach, but other than that it is a handy tool.
