An excellent book for those seeking to discover their true inner soul.
This book is not for those meek and fearful individuals who do not want to face who they really are. This is more of a work book for those with courage enough to face their own inner souls. You will have to be honest with yourself as you attempt to answer questions which you may have avoided all your life. In this respect, it is a self-healing book in which you will discover your true self. It is a book that forces you to think honestly about what is deep inside your soul. The text is organized into several sections. Do not pass up the introduction because it explains the approach and purpose of this book. It also covers how to get the most out of this book. If you are honest with yourself you will discover the following: What your personal philosophy of life is, what your character traits and values are, how you view money and success, what your political philosophy is, how spiritual and religious you are, what your metaphysical view is of the world, and numerous other important aspects of your life. Each section asks various questions and challenges you to answer them honestly. Each page also has a meaningful quote to help inspire you as you attempt to work through the questions. In conclusion, if you desire to discover your true inner philosophy, personality and soul, this is a must book for you.Rating: 5 Stars. Great Book
My husband liked it, it was a Christmas gift that he asked for. so he was happy to receive it.This is an update: My husband recently completed reading Secrets of the Soul by Bohdi Sanders, PhD. He stated "That no words can describe the author and his attributes. Bohdi delves into the hidden crevices of your mind, sharing his wisdom. He fills the cavities of your brain with new found knowledge. Without a doubt this book spans the unlimited resources of the soul and forwards the positive energies needed for your existence."

Wonderful!
A dear friend of mine suggested I read this book and I am very grateful to her for it. This is not your usual self-help book, it's a totally different way of approaching awareness...very thought provoking. You'll read it once through quickly and then allow yourself the pleasure of slowly taking it a chapter at a time. I highly recommend it to anybody who has ever wondered...about anything!

This book asks the questions we should all be asking ourselfs! If you don't know who you are on the inside, read this book, and ask yourself these questions. I learned a lot about myself for sure!

conjuring the depths through simplicity
initially, Secrets of the Soul may seem very basic. a closer examination conveys the depth of thought and care which went into developing questions ranging from, "what is the meaning of life?" to "do you have a living will?". the queries are complete, and the questions which are predicated on the topical daily question add depth to what would otherwise be tossed away as a quick question and answer session.with each question, quotes are provided from notable people in history, great thinkers, philosophers, and saints~ some are even derived from inscriptions found around the world at holy sites. the quotes will have one delving deeper into the question, maybe even cause a reader to move through the self-examination from a different direction. Secrets of the Soul will take the reader deep into themselves if they have the courage to really conduct some self-evaluation. Socrates wrote, the un-examined life is not worth living~ this book underscores that thought. i used this book when i went into a contemplative meditation session, and found that i maintained this frame of mind outside of the active meditation session.a book for a a newly awakened individual, for those who would like to really understand how they are constructed, lay-person, or the person who is spiritually seasoned and adept in their method; no-one will be disappointed. if you find that you cannot really move into this book, put it down for a bit, often-times this merely indicates that we are not ready to delve so deeply within ourselves at that point. the book will call to you when you are ready.

“Refusing to choose is a choice; disbelief is a belief.”
Have you sometimes asked yourself the question “Who am I ?” The question is easy enough to ask but the answer may not be immediately apparent to you. Secrets of the Soul differs from other books on this subject in that it does not preach to the reader. On the contrary, the reader is met with an abundance of fascinating questions and is then left to ponder of them and come to his/her own conclusions. This, in my opinion, is the factor that makes Secrets of the Soul stand out from all of the other books which delve into the subject of self knowledge. Dr Sanders does not attempt to influence the reader in any way. He simply asked the questions that need to be asked. You will sometimes answer one of the questions in the book without any undue problems, other questions however, will leave you thinking about them for hours maybe even days later. Knowing yourself is ultimately about knowing what your beliefs are and in turn, identifying what you do not believe in. On closing, let me quote Dr Sanders himself, what better way to describe the nature of this eye opening book than by using the words of the author: “Refusing to choose is a choice; disbelief is a belief.”

Good choice and would recommend
This is an excellent zen style book which I frequently use as a tool during quiet contemplation. Even though I have practiced self-awareness meditation for few years, this book opened my soul and made me aware of things which were tucked away in the background of my mind. I woulkd recommend this book to any person interested in self-awareness especially in this world of ready-made thoughts and ideas in our media and literature.I gave it a 4 stars and would not even hesitate to give it a 5-star but wish to keep some improvements for future. Suggested improvements are that there could be multiple quotes in the bottom (related to the topic) showing different points of view, so the reader is encouraged to think with an open mind instead of tempted to form a ready opinion. Great Buy and Highly recommend.
