Fabulous traction boots
These are the most fabulous boots for traction & safety in icy conditions. They are light weight, yet warm and very comfortable from the very first day you wear them. I have total confidence & security walking in icy conditions with these boots. And they are not "noisy" when not on ice, but on pavement. Totally worth every penny of the price. Plus they are quite fashionable looking. Do not wear them on a tile surface, not only to protect the tile from scratches, but they are slippery on tile.

Perfect solution to icy walking
For me the Icebug Metro 2 fit is perfect. These boots are a much needed solution for this "over 75" winter walker. I no longer have enough strength in my hands to pull on properly sized over the shoe ice grippers. Because of my struggles I would size up when buying over the shoe grippers which resulted fit problems and the occasional lost gripper. No more problems my new Icebug Metro boots are perfect! Thank you.

Terrific quality boots!
The boots are as advertised and very high quality. I'm disappointed only because they were too large on me and because I am paying to return them and will lose the import fee, and with the sizing being off I am hesitating about buying a smaller size because I am not sure whether to go one size down or 1/2 size down. I really want these boots though because they provide some insurance against slipping and falling in winter. They look great, they are fairly light and I'm very impressed by the treads and the studs on the bottom. There isn't anything else like this around that I have been able to find.

Worth it
Winter activities in the mountains can incorporate icy parking lots in the PNW - i.e., we don't tend to have lots of powdery snow and snow on pavement gets compacted. Wore these on one trip - great from getting out of the seat and back to the hatch for the ski/snowshoe gear.I would suggest NOT driving in the shoes.Edit: we have had snow and packed ice this week and I got a lot more use out of these. I "hiked" about 8 miles in the neighborhood two consecutive days. Traction is great - the only "negative" compared to shoe crampons is when you hit long stretches of bare pavement, you're still using the boots and I wonder how long the lugs will wear - with traction devices, you can remove and add as added. If any doubt in your mind, don't doubt.Size-wise, I wear anything from 6.5 to 7 (usually 7 in hiking boots). I purchased size 7 and I wear two layers of socks (regular socks under hiking crew socks). I can get by with 1, but 2 improves the fit.

The best on ice and snow...
These boots are just great out on the ice and snow...can move with confidence. They fit nicely. Only downside is inside on flooring be prepared for stares and a lot of noise...they are not the best for shopping etc. I wear them always at home when taking out dog etc. and most often for errands...many places have carpet but inside you do need to use some caution to not slip...mixed bag...but for the ice fabulous...can actually go for winter walks without fear now.

Amazing for walking on ice
Just got the boots and took my first walk with the dog. Minnesota winters bless us with lots of snow that melts and refreezes, so the sidewalks and paths and driveways are coated with bumpy uneven patches of treacherous and sometimes hidden evil ice. The dog could not figure out why I was striding confidently along like it was summer instead of slowing down, penguin-walking, switching to the street! These boots are life-changing.I ordered half a size up and they fit comfortably. There is very little cushioning and that's fine with me. The one huge con is that I admittedly have thick ankles and while the boots fil great when I am not moving, I ended up with welts on the sides of my ankles after a one-mile walk because the sides of the boots are snug and very very stiff. There is an elastic bit, but there's not enough give to prevent rubbing. My solution will be to not zip it up all the way.Very happy with my purchase!

Great boot!
A friend had these and loved them - very hard to find anywhere in my size and the style I preferred. Found them here on Amazon, size 9.5 (extremely accurate sizing - fit perfect with mid-weight winter sock. I often go to a size 10 for boots, but glad they only had a 9.5 available and I gave it a try - perfect). Also the only color was the magenta, but I love it - not bright, just really nice pop of color. These are very comfortable, come right above ankles, zipper on side is very convenient, easy to put on and off. The cleats seems to grip well. I use them to walk dogs on a frozen pond and walking in general when it is icy out - they work well. Not as 'grippy' as the big toothy cleats you strap onto you boots, but great everyday icy conditions.

No more falling on the ice with my new Icebugs!
These boots not only keep me from slipping on the ice, they also feel comfortable and are super easy to put on. They’re well made and look decent too.
