The Dielectric is Teflon to handle higher power and withstand high temperature when soldering and will Not Melt. The connector works great for RG-8, 9, 213, 214, and L400 cable. UG-176 reducers included to allow use with RG-8x or "Mini-8" coax. Note: There are good install directions on-line - when installing you do not solder to the reducer/adapter!
