Fun fact: Satin/sateen is not a material, but a weave and cotton in this type of weave is called sateen while silk and polyester in it are called satin. That being said the pillow cases definitely have sheen because of the weave and i do like that. The have a soft feel to them and serve the purpose of pillow case well. The color i ordered (black) came looked exactly as advertised.P.S. If you are ever unsure if something is cotton or polyester a quick way to tell is by throwing a little water on the fabric. If the water beads up and slides off chances are you have polyester if it is absorbed good chance you have cotton.

I don't know why these pillows have a high rating. They are flimsy and the white cases I bought, well one had a blood stain! Obviously, this pillow case was used. Unbelievable!

Like some other reviewers have said, once you wash the pillowcases , they shrink AND are no longer soft. They also lose the sheen they had. I've never experienced anything like this with any bedding I have ever bought. I followed the instructions of washing on gentle cycle in cold water and drying on low heat cycle. The fabric still came out rough. It even lost some of the vibrancy of the color and this was after ONE WASH. Definitely not worth the money and regretting I bought this product.

The post for these says they're 100% cotton. Dont believe this fake listing for a second. Take it from me, these are NOT 100% cotton. They are cheap and cheesy. 500 thread count. WHAT A JOKE! They are SUPER thin and likely microfiber. Sometime low cost products here on Amazon are great buys. This is NOT one of them. The manufacture and or seller of these pillow cases needs to called out for their failure to advertise what these really are. Cheap. Imitation -masking on Amazon as actual cotton pillowcases. Wondering if my truthful review will actually get posted. Do not waste your energy on ordering and then having to return them. Sorry I bought into the lies the seller said about them!

I am using the fabric to make masks. The fabric is so soft and sturdy. The higher tread count will provide extra protection.

I bought these to replace a set that frayed on the end. The color is very close and these keep me from replacing the entire set. I really like the quality.

I like these, but they are a little small to be called queen-sized cases. I have standard pillows and have trouble putting the cases on them. I actually like that because it means the pillows don't move around too much or come out of the cases, but if I had queen sized pillows, I don't think I could actually get them on without a lot of trouble.They could be softer as well. I expect them to soften up over time, but from new they aren't very soft. So overall, I like the look, but not so much the feel of them.

A wonderful, super soft, all cotton body pillowcase. It exceeded my expeditions. Just what I was looking for!

So, I'd recommend these pillow cases for a guest room, they are very soft and look nice when new.I've been using mine for 3 weeks now and it's starting to show marks on the fabric. I think these are very nice for light use but not for constant use.They do feel quite luxurious so if you want to impress your guests I'd recommend them. For every day use I think they are not worth the money since they seem to wear off quickly

Not worth 15 pounds. I have other quality pillow cases and these feel rough compared to them. After 1 wash on a cool temp they are poor IMHO. Sending them back. I got a better pair from Dunelms for half the price. Sorry to moan but they just arent the wonder cases i expected.

Hate the feel of them definitely NOT cotton as stated so sort of silky material, waste of money won't be using them at all , amazon you should know better

These were fantastic quality. I’m a cotton nut so when these arrive I wasn’t expecting that much actually, but price don’t be deceived. They feel great. Cool against the skin. Keep their shape and really excellent quality cotton. About to order some more.

Beautiful soft and luxurious. So comfortable and good price for such.
