Does the job of sanitizing
Does the job of sanitizing, it is not perfumed and there is a slightly strange smell when you first apply it but that goes away after a minute. For the price I am really happy.

Yup, it smells bad...
It is a hand sanitizer, but its not a gel type, it's based on a Propylene Glycol base so its a lot runnier than a gel. There is alcohol in it if there wasn't then it wouldn't dry out as quick as it does, but it does have a very off-putting sort of earthy peaty smell, and that smell is there for a reason...the type of Alcohol they are using. The list of ingredients has "Alcohol Denat" as the main ingredient, which is denatured alcohol, commonly known as Methylated Spirits. Methylated Spirits by UK law has to have an additive added to it to stop people drinking it to make it foul-tasting and smelling. Its is a 70 to 80% alcohol hand sanitizer, but it is using denatured alcohol for the sanitization base which means, yes, its got a weird off-putting smell, but that smell vanishes after a minute or so. The maker should have put some kind of added fruit based artificial perfume of some sort to mask some of that smell.

Does the job but packing poor
The reason I've given three stars is, as reported by others, the bottles leak in transit which has effect of damaging the labels to illegibility. Fortunately only a little had been lost but it's the genuine stuff, alcohol based hand sanitiser. At a time when 6 quid for 50ml sanitisers seems the going rate on Amazon then 10 quid for half a litre seems quite acceptable.Edit: I wrote to Motorworld about the leakage issue since it's simply down to loose bottle caps not being screwed on firmly. Their response was they'd pass the message on to their packing department, which is fine if they take the hint.Smell: the stuff smells of hospitals which is fine by me. The smell doesn't linger on your hands.

VERY GOOD VALUE.
Plenty of sanitiser for little outlay. Our second purchase of this Nilco product, can't fault it.Despite other reviewers criticising it's smell it is fine by me & being runnier than most sanitiser gels, a little goes a long way.Recommended.

Smells bad and leaky bottles
The product smells awful, though, as other reviewers have noted, this does somewhat disappear after it has dried. It is also very runny. I am not sure whether it is really 70% alcohol concentration, though, it is very drying, so that would suggest it is.One bottle had leaked too. Only received 4/5 of the product. If there are other hand sanitisers available, I would avoid this one.
