I bought this one and the anvil and I'm keeping both since the price was so reasonable! I'm using the bypass for cutting out the old strings on my tennis racquets before restringing as it's simply the best and fastest way to get this job done. And I keep the anvil set on my workbench as it works great for making nice, clean, straight cuts in small tubing while supporting the sides with its anvil bottom jaw. I'm sure they both work great for pruning, too! The locking feature works really well. They are lightweight and fit a small to medium hand very well. The texture and finish makes for easy gripping with no slipping. As a former GE warranty program manager working on engineering issues, I appreciate well-engineered products and these fit the bill. And the price is right.
