Cheap, breathable cover up for the pack n play.
This goes right over the pack n play and I’ve now used it every time we travel. I wouldn’t say it’s a complete black out but it’s very breathable which is the most important! It comes in a fabric case so it’s super easy to fold up and travel with. I’ve also thrown this in the wash and it held up nicely. overall a great, cheaper alternative to a SlumberPod.

Lifesaver
The original plan for our trip to Mexico was to rent the slumberpod because my baby needs a dark room to sleep. Well the plan fell through two days before our departure. So I rested my hope on this product and it delivered. It comes in a small bag so it did not take up luggage space at all. It’s supper stretchy so it fit the rented pack and play..and most importantly..it made it dark enough for him to sleep well. It also kept mosquitos out. There’s a lot of zippers so that if you want to peek you can. But it was the perfect last minute purchase and will now on be added to my packing list permanently until he no longer needs it. It’s such a more affordable alternative than a slumberpod which costs almost 200 dollars. Don’t hesitate. Just buy!

It’s ok
I have mixed feelings about this item. It works well but it seemed to have a bad chemical smell at first despite washing it twice. I don’t think it was the crib which is greenguard gold certified and it wasn’t the naturapaedic mattress which is the best nontoxic you can buy. The cover didn’t really smell just on its own but when on the crib it stunk bad. I put it in a big mesh delicates bag and it did well in the wash. Air dried it. Caused me a lot of anxiety thinking about what chemicals my baby might have been breathing in. I allow it to air out daily by leaving it open and tilting the crib mattress up vertically so if a cat were to jump in, they would just hit the crib base and not get on the mattress. I leave both side windows open to improve airflow and also leave the top open a little less than a foot. Smell has gradually dissipated over about a month and a half. Works well to block light, fits over the mini crib in my master bedroom fine. Zipper is terribly loud. I even tried rubbing bees wax on it as I read that could help. It didn’t. I have to zip very very slowly and carefully or it will wake my baby up even with the Hatch playing rain sounds at 50%. It still makes noise but thankfully she’s somewhat sleep trained and will go back to sleep if roused a little but I doubt she would if I just zipped it fast as it is horribly loud that way. I bought it to keep out the cats. It’s more a deterrent. If the cat jumped on top it would just sink down and might actually be worse because I think they could kind of get stuck in the pit a bit. They would sink down enough to land on the baby. I have the crib set on the second lowest station from the bottom at present. Thankfully no cat has actually tried jumping on to it. It’s not a fine mesh, more like a pair of breathable mesh gym shorts. That’s the only thing I can think to compare it too. So basically it works but if there was a nontoxic alternative with a quieter zipper it would be worth it to get that even if it cost more. And btw, baby can still get arms & legs out the side of the rails in the crib with it on. Just something that I didn’t really think of when I bought it. My baby can’t even sit up herself yet but if she was a crib jumper I imagine she might be able to get herself between the crib & this and possibly still get out as it’s very stretchy. But again I don’t know, just hypothesizing.Update 8/23- I wanted to update this to say I did repurchase this item 2 more times so I could have another for the mini crib we have downstairs for naps (so grandma doesn’t have to carry baby upstairs) and another for the pack & play to use when we travel. The most recent 2 I bought seem to be of a less stretchy material, a bit of a finer less airy mesh. It’s a lot harder to zip up and stretch over the crib particularly. But on the positive side these do not seem to have the persistent chemical smell the first one had. I have increased my rating to 4 stars from the original 3 because how had could it really be if I repurchased 2 more times lol

Perfect for in the go
I rarely leave reviews, but I had to leave one for this canopy. I love it! Great price at $30. We’ve had it for 2 weeks now and it’s been amazing. I love the side “windows” to let in a little bit of light or extra airflow if needed. It’s a stretchy material with lots of small, tiny holes that let air through. Like others have said, it doesn’t make the pack and play pitch black, but it darkens it a great amount. If I could change one thing it would be the zippers. They seem mediocre. I’m hoping they hold up long term. Either way, I love it so much I’m getting ready to order another!

Awesome Value!
This works great! We borrowed a name brand black out tent last year and it was great, so we purchased this one to see if the $30 price tag would be as effective. Our toddler slept great- it really does provide blackout conditions for them. And it was actually much easier to set up than the Slumberpod because you just stretch it over the pack n play instead of having to set all of the poles up. Its very small when taken down, so very easy to travel with. I've already recommended this to many other friends. Definitely worth the purchase!

Easy and effective
So great for travel- my 1.5 yr old prefers a darker space to sleep and when we're in a hotel or shared guest room this really makes it so much easier for him to fall asleep. It's fool-proof and the cost cannot be beat. Exactly as described.

Travel must have!
We travel a handful of times each year and this has been a lifesaver for sleeping. The darkness of a random hotel room, Airbnb, etc. can be unpredictable and this takes that away! Keeps baby’s pack and play darker, yet breathable. The opening at the top is also great for use of a camera. Have tried on a few different brands of pack and plays and it always fits and is very universal. Highly recommend!

Not Blackout
The fabric was nice and stretchy and breathable, but it did definitely not block the light out. I may as well have put a muslin blanket over the crib! Will be returning.

Best Travel Blackout for Crib Ever!!!
We used this to take our 1 year old on her first vacation. It was the best! She was nice and cozy in the hotel pack n play with this blackout around her and when we heard her we opened up the top to say hi and take her out. BUT we didn't have to worry about her seeing us or looking around the room or getting distracted! The fabric does not block out ALL light completely but it was light and breathable. Easy to pack. Super easy to get on and off! We love it!

I LOVE THIS THING!
We camp all the time and this has been a game changer for our daughter. It blocks out all the light and doesn’t take up extra room like those tent things, I also didn’t have $400+ to spend on one of those! $80 is a steal for the sleep this allows!

Fantastic pack and play cover
Used this for travel for the first time for a 10 day trip and loved it. We kept the side window open for airflow and it barely lets light in. Was so great for sharing a room with our daughter to keep her space seperate. Had to make shift how we could get a monitor in - this is probably the biggest drawback. We propped it up under the cover against the mesh on a table. It worked but would be great if there was a pocket on top or the side for it to sit in. Maybe a touch warmer than outside temp but overall breathable. Very happy.

Must have for travel!
So pleased with this product. I used it with my Graco Pack n’ play and it was a perfect fit. My baby slept soundly.

Great for travelling
This worked well for travelling before our baby could pull to standing. After that we couldnt use it anymore as he would just pull at it.
