Unable to get battery compartment open

One of most useless products I've ever bought off of Amazon. For price, even worse! Took a long time to deliver, looks sleek & attractive, "easy to use" if you do NOTHING but put batteries in, turn on & 'scan' to get body or room temp AS IS, & can read temp in the scale that initially pops up (Centigrade likely) on the device. Instructions on how to change from Centigrade to Fahrenheit (or vice versa) were vague, did not sync with product or screen features, & were, ultimately, useless. I will return and cannot recommend this product.

The product only worked twice and then stopped working. Very poor quality. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

Doesn’t take a regular temp... took forever to receive then it didn’t even work so Here I sit a month later still waiting for refund!!

These reviews must be fake because the product reads my forehead at 95 degree F. I tried multiple times. Will be returning! Don’t buy!

You would think the manufacture would invest in better written instructions to keep from having items returned for "not working properly". If I had not come back to read reviews and questions trying to simply figure out how to change from Celsius to Farhenheit I would have sent it back tomorrow. But alas!....I found some helpful info in others posts and questions and I will keep. Mine seems to work and read temperature correctly. It did take a long time to get (4+weeks) but that didn't bother me. If need in a hurry then choose another one. There is nothing spectacular about this one. When I did receive, it just showed up and the status was not updated to reflect shipped/delivered. It requires 2 AAA batteries (not supplied) and is not chargeable. It does read a temp VERY quickly (no swiping across forehead required). Once I hit scan it reads almost instantly. I find that a gentle touch on the forehead works best. Doing it contactless there may be a 10th of a degree difference. But to come back to changing between C and F .....Press SCAN unil ---C appears then release, then quickly press SCAN again to change to F. So only 3 stars just because this this is nothing fancy, pricey (my opinion) and I had to spend real time reading others questions/reviews and manufacturer instructions trying to figure out how to work it.

Product doesn't scan temperature correctly, off by about 20 degrees. Difficult to troubleshoot with seller and not easy to return

This item dies not work! The temperature is sporadic. Tried the temp on the same person just seconds apart and the temperatures recorded were all over the place. Not accurate at all. I emailed the company as instructed and was told they do not work on weekends. I emailed them before the weekend. They asked for more information about why it does not work and photos & videos. They sent a label addressed to China with no postage included. Why must I pay postage to return a defective product? Horrible and expensive experience!!!
