I enjoy using this meter.
This is my first true LCR meter. While my initial results were questionable I have spent quite a lot of time experimenting with it and I am much more comfortable using it. I ordered a 2-sided board online which I used to build a set of true Kelvin Clips and enjoy the ability to get what I feel is very accurate results with with this meter due to the higher resolution along with the a/C signal and flexibility in testing. I have also been tinkering with this meter in the resistance setting to locate shorts on a board since it seems to be more accurate than my multimeter. I can often measure components on the board with this meter while my fluke multimeter cannot due to interference from other components.

Works just fine for the price.
I found this meter to be fairly accurate in testing capacitors. Ran trough a dozen of so of different value caps, and the meter read them just fine within a reasonable amount of tolerance. No instructions included with the meter. But a little playing around with it and a video or two on YouTube, it’s quite easy to figure out.The batteries are discharged, so you’ll need to charge them up before trying out. And the display itself could be a bit brighter. Other than that, I think it’s a worthwhile purchase.

Nice Meter... Poor Seller
If you're researching this product then I assume you know what it's used for and how. The meter itself appears to be of decent quality for the price however, the one I received appeared to have been a used or refurbished item. It arrive with a number of marks and scratches on the unit and the display screen protector. Once the protector was removed the screen appears great except for one small scratch in the upper left corner. My biggest issue is that there was no clear indication that this unit would ship from China. I had to wait quite a while for the unit to arrive. Unfortunately, the wrong power adapter was included. I reached out to the seller and received the following response:'I am very sorry to cause you trouble, our US plug is temporarily out of stock, please see if you have a US plug that can be used instead. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.Hope you have a great day!'Not acceptable in my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

No documentation!
My 1833C arrived with no documentation whatsoever. The kit included a hard shell carry case, the meter, a charging cable and AC adapter, a pair of alligator clip probes, and a discharging jumper (a flat piece of metal). No manual, not even a Quick Start guide. The meter has a QR code on the back so I scanned that. It took me to the Hantek website for the meter. I chose to download the software manual. Well, the manual is written entirely in mandarin and I can’t read it. So I chose the Quick Tutorial and got the old 404 Page Not Found error. So the I chose the Video Tutorial and was taken to a blank page what did nothing and went nowhere. So I’m hoping some intelligent technician made a good YouTube video on how to use this; otherwise, I’m dead in the water and I’ll be returning it.So beware. The meter seems like it might be pretty capable, but unless you read Chinese, it might not work out for you.UPDATE: Hantek needs to update their hyperlinks. While the links on the page you reach from the QR code are dead, you can find the English language manual by searching for it in your web browser. The manual is 29 pages and includes color photos and charts. It downloads as a Zip file, then you can print it or read it on your phone/monitor instead. One other thing I’m not impressed with is that when you plug in the USB-C to charge the batteries, the power button glows red but doesn’t shut off. I assumed it would glow red while charging and change to green when charged or simply shut off. It doesn’t so you actually have to unplug the unit, turn it on, and look at the battery icon in the top right of the screen to see battery level. Pretty low-tech for a device like this. It does not arrive charged. Initial charging takes over 2 hours, around 3.A word of caution: the charging cable is unique and you’ll be hard pressed to find a replacement so be very very careful not to lose it!

Not remotely accurate, off 10-20%
Even after running its internal calibration, the 1832C is not accurate at all. In capacitance checking for example, it is off 10-20% low. No point in owning a meter that can't be trusted. Additionally, Hantek doesn't stand behind their products. I also have their 2D72 with a dead LCD (after 13 months of very light use) and when contacting Hantek USA for parts, they said go to the seller as if Amazon sells parts for handheld oscilloscopes and LCR meters. You are much better off taking that same money and buying a used reliable brand like BK or Fluke.

Missing charger/charging cable, no documentation.
I bought this last year and just got around to using it. I did not receive a charger or a charging cable (I saw another review which noted the same experience - I noted that that customer was blown off by Hantek customer service and was told to find their own). Nice response! I used my Apple Watch charger/cable and that worked. I dug out another USB-C charger/cable and it didn’t work. Odd. So now the box is charging, but after a an hour, it is about 20% charged. We’ll see if it ever gets fully charged. I did find the instruction manual at the Hantek site. Hopefully, it will explain how to work this box. I’m just not impressed though, and wont buy anything else from Hantek. I don’t usually post reviews, but was unusually disappointed with this box. Find another competent vendor!

Works like a charm.
Comes with alligator clip leads and uses rechargeable 18650 batteries. Works great even using the short alligator clips.
