This is my 2nd one purchased. First one started leaking after some time and got a little stained. I figured it was time for a new one. This one leaks wayyyy more than the 2nd one have to constantly put it under a plate so i dont have tea all over my desk after a few minutes.

Initially great, but start leaking after few weeks!
I liked this product and decided to buy it among other options available on Amazon. However, after few weeks of using it, I noticed it is leaking from the bottom and making a big mess and leaving Tea stains all over my desk. Is there is way to fix this? Why this is happening over time? I would give a 5-stare if it did not leak but now it is making a huge mess everywhere and everytime that I make tea. I hope I can fix this. I also wish there was a way to clean inside the lock-in mechanism since it get dirty/black over time. Thanks, Kamran

Nice Concept but always leaked!
After the 3rd use it was leaving a puddle under the valve but I was still able to use it.I got a solid six weeks total of use out of this (about 4 times a week) before tea would flow freely from the unit all over the counter. NO I didn't put it in the dishwasher, it was never damaged it just is a waste.

Listen to the reviews regarding leaks
We ordered two of these a few months ago. Great size, great concept, and was awesome for about three weeks. One started to leak within a month. At the time, it was just a small leak, nothing a small plate below it couldn't resolve, but after a few more uses, became completely unusable. The other broke down this week. It didn't leak filling it up. It didn't leak setting it on my desk. It leaked when I walked away to get something, leaving me with a huge wet mess upon my return. Zero zen for me that day. I trusted the nearly 5 stars this received but should have believed the reviews regarding the leak issue.

Leaky, priorly designed, fantastic concept...
Wanted this to work so bad, but this device leaks all over the place. Tried many temperatures and received the same result, tea puddles on the counter and stove. I caught it early and was able to make sure all the liquid didn't spill out, had I not, I'm sure the entire contents would have leaked out over time. Many reviewers have said that the manufacturing moved from a metal mesh to plastic, which is true, and that was the failure point. Again great concept but poorly manufactured...

1 star too many
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM KAENKAY.Received my teapot yesterday, and it is obviously used. The strainer is tea stained, the plastic has hard water stains all over it, and there are even tea grounds still in the strainer.VERY UNETHICAL, to sell a used product as new.Nowhere in the description does it say I was buying a used product, and the price absolutely did not reflect that it was used.To add insult to injury, they will not return/refund/exchange the product. So I'm stuck with a $30 piece of garage sale trash.

Leaky product
This item leaks so bad that I have to set it on a plate after I use it. I have already returned it once. I am returning this one as well.

Drip drop drip drippity drop lol...
It does the job of dispensing tea quite nicely, will fill your cup. HOWEVER....it leaks when set down. If you did not completely empty out contents into your drinking cup....expect an ever-growing puddle of tea. LYYOOONNN

Shame about the puddles
Saw this and, always a sucker for a gadget, thought I'd give it a go. It makes a good brew and the transparent body really lets you see how the strength is coming along. The filter does catch all but the smallest of the leaves. My only gripe and the reason for my less than stellar star rating is IT LEAKS! Sometimes a droplet, sometimes a dribble, and sometimes a full on puddle. I've taken to always using with a saucer as I was getting bored of wiping up the spills.

You'll actually use your loose-leaf tea!
If, like me, you and your other half enjoy drinking tea and have acquired (bought, been bought, found somewhere) ridiculous amounts of loose-leaf tea and then found tea-infusers to be a royal pain then this is the product for you.Pros- Tea brews quick because there's plenty of room for it to float around.- No awkward pouring (the tea comes out of its bottom).- It's super easy to clean.Cons- It's quite big? About the size of a mug? So if your cupboards are at their absolute limit...

Impressive and Ingenious Design - can be used for tea or ground coffee
The photographs do not do this product justice; the plastic is much like a crystal clear acrylic and looks more expensive. The functionality of the teapot is almost futuristic and is lot of fun to use. It can be used with loose tea or tea bags; I have also used it with ground coffee the filter is very fine. The only minor problem is that there is always a single drip after pouring, which typically happens if you have sat it on a table/cloth without a small saucer under it. Apart from this i have had no other issues with it and use it most days - guests and, in particular children, are usually intrigued by its operation. To go with the ingenuitea i would recommend a clear cup or mug so that you can see when it is full without the risk of it over flowing. Great gadget
Just loved this. Always avoided loose tea before because of the hassle of cleaning out the pot but with this I just knock the pot on the bin and sluice out the stubborn leaves with water. Because of the large owning you can get your whole hand in to clean it. We’ve been using the rolled tea rather which are larger which may make it easier. The tea tastes sooo much better than teabags and I love that the 850ml is enough for me to have 2 cups as 1 is never enough. If there was a separate dishwasher removeable insert this would be a 5 star for ease of cleaning as don’t want to put whole pot in as all plastic goes cloudy eventually. The kids love it too so are happy to make mum & dad a cuppa - bonus

So far so good...
I bought these as my son wanted to have them for his new home. They are really easy to use and nice to the planet as you don't have to use teabags and you can compost the tea leaves afterwards. The only thing that is high maintenance is to make sure you clean them well as they get stained with the tea, as a teapot would, but apart from that they are great. I think the tea does taste better and they pay for themselves by using less teabags and packaging

Like putting it on a coaster
had a few mishaps with this. I used it on my desk and sometimes it was not 100% on a flat surface and there was something that touched the bottom of the pot and tea leaked out all over my desk!! Like putting it on a coaster. But I changed my process and left it in the kitchen, then put the tea in a mug/flask and its great. One slight niggle - the tea drains out until it reaches the bottom bit where the filter fits in, then there seems to sometimes be an airlock or something that stops the last bit from draining out. A tap to the top sorts it.

Clever design
This is my second tea pot - bought because it holds two mugs of tea. It’s easy to empty and clean, with a removable filter in the base. I use filtered water as that prevents build up of limescale on the filter. Easy to use and durable - I’ve had my single mug pot in daily use for five years. It’s often been a conversation piece!

Fantastic tea infuser
Brilliant little piece of kit. Add tea and hot water to the 'jug', let it steep, then press gently onto the top of your cup and the tea pours into it through the bottom, with an inbuilt strainer keeping the tea leaves out of the cup. Simple to clean and makes a perfect cup.

So simple and works very well for me.
This gizmo reinvigorated my tea drinking. I like to use loose leaf tea as the flavour tends to be in a different league to tea bags. What I'm not so keen on is the messy cleaning out and getting leaves at the bottom of my mug. The IngenuiTEA filters all the leaves out and makes it easy to tip them into a bin. A quick rinse out and it's done. I'm finding myself exploring different teas since I bought this, in a similar way to how I have been exploring different coffees for many years. Tea wasn't really a daily drink for me before I had the IngenuiTEA, now it certainly is.

This clever teapot is placed on top of a mug to release the brew. You quickly learn to judge when the cup is full, but can easily check by lifting the pot - there are no drips. This size holds one full mug. It cleans easily, although I imagine you would need to check that the filter does not become clogged by limescale over time. I’m pleased with my purchase.

Easy to use, clean and store.
Bought this a gift for the wife who enjoys her tea. We've had many a loose leaf infuser which leaves alot of debris in that last mouth of tea. This ingenuiTEA is great and sits on the top of many of our mugs at home. It allows for a good brew time and is so simple to use.The product is easy to clean and needs a quick rinse to get rid of that loss leaf tea. Easy to store with your mugs, I'd recommend this to anyone who has some loose leaf in the cupboard.

Welcome Back Loose Leaf Tea
This is a great gadget. I recently re-discovered loose leaf tea but my tiny diffuser was a bit rubbish and the tea went cold while I was waiting for the brew. This has a lid and you can see the strength of the leaves easily. Love that once fitted to the top of my cup it just pours through. Easy to clean too.

Great product!
Looks great, works great! I've not had any problems with the filter coming loose like some of the reviews on here, even when shaking it upside down to empty the tea leaves. Doesn't fit the oversize type of tea cups/mugs you can buy but fits all standard and smaller cups/mugs. I'm using the smaller Bodum tea glasses at the moment and the teapot sits on these just fine. Can't think of anything negative to say and it's much easier to use than my Eva Solo tea maker.I'm a big coffee drinker but this little gem along with the wide variety of teas you can buy has got me drinking more tea than coffee these days!

For a proper brew
Amazon sent me the 450ml instead of the 850ml :(Despite the mishap, it works amazingly well with my loose leaf Rooibos tea (or any variety for that matter). Easy to clean and not a single leaf gets through the filter.

Enthusiastic
Love this, has not leaked, no problems with filter popping out, great for tea you have mixed yourself, I do use a glass cup when dispensing, getting rid of remains, well I just spoon out in to bin and rinse.
