Very helpful in recovering from a sprained ankle.
Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation are the best way to treat a sprain. When I recently sprained my ankle while on vacation, I knew from previous sprains of the same ankle, that after the initial swelling goes down somewhat, wearing air cushion brace is tremendously helpful in getting back in action. It holds the ankle and foot in a neutral position so it both heals and allows you to move around much more comfortably ( with a cane or crutches, if needed). Alas, I could not find an air cushion brace in the area I was in - they are usually sold in specialty stores that are not found in tourist areas.I made do with athletic tape and a cane until I got home, but immediately ordered this brace to be delivered before I got home. I knew that even after the initial sprain has healed a bit, it helps to wear the brace if your ankle starts to ache, and in bed at night where the pressure of the blankets and the position of your legs can accidentally put a strain on your ankle. The brace can be worn with shoes. I wouldn't wear it with heels or ballet flats, but it works with sneakers or oxford type shoes. I even wore it with some flat heeled ankle boots. It's very light and can be cleaned quite easily. I will be taking it with me on all future trips - its a tad bulky, but well worth it.

Great product
I bought this for my wife so she could still work. She has worn it everyday she has work an it has kept her ankle straight. The air padding in nice that you can add air to it for more cushion. I don't know if this was poor disign but we pulled off one of the pads cause it wouldn't go around her ankle. The only problem I see with it it's not friendly to people who have big calf's do to the straps aren't long enough only way it works if you removing one or both padding also the tub to put more air into the padding was not with the package but I a normal straw works. All an all it's helping my wife she can now move her ankle freely now then before I see just a few more weeks wearing an it will be healed. Great product.

Right for the price
I bought a similar product at my local CVS pharmacy for $34. Browsed Amazon for something cheaper & found this product. I suffered an ankle twist & pain wasn't going away. I wore this product, not 100% comfortable, but it does work. It's been almost 2 weeks & pain is going down. You get what you paid for, & must say that it's doing the work.

Comfortable but not as sturdy as an Air Cast
I wanted something supportive like the air cast brand(wish I had spent a little more for the name brand) I will say it is very cushy and comfy and you can adjust how much air is in the pockets. Unfortunately I was looking more for stability and I found the plastic to be flimsy and the whole thing was to wide to fit into my shoe. I ended up finding it comfortable and sturdy enough for sleeping and light movement around the house but had to use my actual air cast when I needed to be up and about for longer periods of time or had to wear shoes.

Great product/ good price
I was given this Air cushion brace after an accident that occurred in Canada. Their ER charged me $90 for it but told me I could find it cheaper when I got back to the US. It’s fabulous and basically got me off crutches sooner than I would have without it. If my ankle starts to swell up from a lot of walking I use it again. It’s comfortable and has a lot of adjustment possibilities. It’s also very easy to pack In a suitcase

Badly made. Just pay extra for the genuine Air Cast.
Don’t waste your money. Just pay more for the genuine air cast brand. I sprained my ankle and bought this to use in addition to the one I got at the orthopedist. (You’ve got to wash them so this is a “back up”) I’ve had this 3 days. I’ve worn it for less than 3 hours. It’s falling apart. The air cushions are barely attached inside and when you put it on they move out of place. It’s flimsy and uncomfortable.

Perfect and new
Had one of these years ago when I sprained my ankle bad. Gave it to a friend and then I rolled my ankle mowing. This is the only thing that supports it right. In brand new condition, sealed in original plastic with straws sealed separately. Love this ankle brace aircast!

Fell apart
Plastic air cushion fell off ~ 2 weeks after buying (I've hardly worn it, I'm in a boot still). Double-sided tape doesn't hold it in place. It's definitely of poorer quality vs the one I had 15 years ago.
