ObenCTT-1000L Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod (Long)

Shockingly light/compact, yet still has great stability at height. The one misstep I see is the lack of storage for the center post, it is just basically a loose extra leg and there is no way to attach it to the tripod while keeping the tripod dimensions for transport. So you would have to keep them separate, which would allow them to bang on each other. If this was $50-$100 more expensive I would have removed a star for that, but at this price that is something that you just need to workaround and find a solution that works for you. Phenomenal value.

Bought this to use for hunting binos and scopes. Very light and seems to be sturdy. I do find that adding some downward weight helps stabilize it, otherwise between the rubber feet and somewhat flexible legs, can be prone to vibration.Combined with the SmallRig tilt/pan head, you have an ultralight, smooth backcountry rig for about $150 and 1.5 pounds. Tie a small prussik cord loop on one of the legs and you have a 10 gram, $0.10 adjustable rifle support. Add a therm-a-rest z seat pad, and use your backpack as a backrest, and you can sit and glass all day.

While it might be due to individual variation, the buttons used to adjust the angles of the tripod legs are extremely stiff. Although they may become smoother to operate over time, their usability is currently very poor. Despite its lightweight and compact design, and the excellent construction of the ball head, I can't help but consider this tripod as quite disappointing.

This tripod is it for me. It is exactly what I have been looking for.Well, I am maybe not depending so much on my tripod as others do, but I still find it useful enough that I always want to bring it with me on, for example, a hike. For a long time, I was using the gorillapod, but often found that the height of it was limiting for me. However, I still didn't want to bring a larger and heavier tripod to get that increased height.This Oben tripod has just that extra height in a very compact and light format that makes it perfect for just throwing in the backpack and not even noticing that it is there until I need it. I honestly think this tripod deserves a lot more hype than the other compact tripods out there, because it offers just so much more. I can 100% recommend it.

I'm really impressed with the build quality and functionality of this little tripod. It's perfect for my use as a tabletop tripod with my camera/lens setup - about 3.1 pounds. I don't know how stable it would be if the legs were completely extended and a heavier setup was used. It's not cheap, but I think it's a decent value for the quality.

Relatively flimsy table top tripod that poorly supported a full frame camera even when the lens is not particularly large or heavy. Had set up my Sony A7RV +Sony 90mm Macro lens on tripod. With legs extended wide, tripod was stable but not when more upright. I have another tripod (Manfrotto, see photo) that works better for my purposes but obviously lacks the versatility I'd hoped the Oben tripod would provide. Wish the tripod had stronger legs. Concerned about damage to MY equipment.I do think this is a GREAT tripod for APS-C and m43 cameras (assuming no heavy lenses) and ideal for P+S cameras.
