This is a pretty addition to our patio, and actually is our second purchase. The first (almost identical) fireplace was over 8 years old, and still functioned, but was rusty. I hadn’t kept it covered at all through northeastern winters, so that’s on me. So happy I purchased this one. It took my daughter and I less than 30 minutes to assemble. Move it where you want it before it is completely assembled; it’s quite heavy and sturdy when it’s done. The smoke goes up and out through the chimney, which is perfect!

I have been searching for exactly this for a long time. Had one similar that lasted over a decade. It's something different than the other neighbors have and beautiful as a fire pit and looks great on our patio. It's tall, elegant, great quality. The doors open so that you can make s'mores easily and add wood as needed. We get so many compliments on this!

We made some repairs to the original fireplace, because of damage through usage.The new unit is almost identical. Before we assembled the new unit, all the metal has beenpainted with 1200 degree stove paint. I expect a better result with this unit.We also are going to install some thin fire retardent bricks in areas we know as more likely toburn through.I've also made heavyduty side screens that will be more heat resistant. Also the chimney is a fabricated thicker steel. We are using the fireplace to burn the many brances that our trees drop every year.While the unit is in use the fire stays inside the box, no burning sparks are emitted.We like the size and design of the fireplace, but it needs special care to keep in service.I considered other fireplaces. They were too small and usually too expensive for our use.

Disliked that it is damaged in shipment plus the inconvenience it presents! It is very heavy and to get it back into the shipping container is going to be difficult! We are not happy campers!!Dennis was able to correct the damage done in shipment and it is a beautiful item again!So, we are happy campers!

It’s nicer than I expected.It is heavy duty and weighs approximately 100lbs, so bring help or a dolly when unloading and preparing to assemble. It is all metal and some slate, no plastic components as to be expected on a hot fireplace.Assembly was straight forward, it took approximately 1 hour between my wife and I. The assembly instructions are OK, but you can figure it out because there aren’t too many components. The most difficult part was trying to use an electric drill in the cramped spaces. Everything came together well.I was surprised at how nice it looks. The black metal is a painted (?) brass or copper that will look nice as it fades. I have not started it up as it has been too warm, but I can’t wait to buy some logs and spend family time getting warm around the fireplace. I would buy it again; I recommend this fireplace.

The fireplace arrived with a dent in it and a big chunk of the ceramic tile was missing. I contacted Amazon and they told me that if I didn't return it they would refund me half of the purchase price - which I'm sorry I did. First it was a nightmare to assemble. Next I’ve had it for 4 months and the coating is peeling off with the metal being totally rusted underneath. Apparently it was already rusted when they coated it. It is cheaply made and a total piece of junk.

Delivered at 7 am on a Saturday morning to our front porch! Nice job on delivery. We grabbed our coffee, brought the Sunjoy Heirloom Fireplace into the backyard, and put it together in about 30 minutes. This was a Prime Warehouse deal, so it does have a small blemish in the front, but for the discounted price, we are definitely glad we paid the least amount possible for this unit. It is super cute and nicely sized, perfect for a backyard. We purchased it as a bandaid until we are ready to build a full masonry fireplace in the same space in a year or two. It’s honestly exactly what one would expect from something made in China: cheapish but cute. It’s heavy and marginally sturdy. I think this would be at best a $300 unit (it’s normally more than double), and we have have low expectations of getting more than 2-3 years out of it. For now, it will work for us to have morning coffee during cooler months. The more elaborate $1500 unit has closed sides, which would have been a nicer design for this unit to direct the heat forward more. We actually want the heat but not smoke or ash in our faces. If you are setting this up in a smaller yard/space, that may not be an issue at all. We have a large property without anything stopping wind, like a privacy fence. We are rating it three stars due to the quality of the piece overall.

The media could not be loaded. This outdoor fireplace is easy to put together, rather large, and fairly well built considering it's country of origin. It withstands a lot of heat as indicated by me burning its entire box inside of it with 5 ft of flames coming out of the chimney. All in all I would recommend it as I've been burning for 5 hours in it today after assembling it. Assembly took roughly 30 to 40 minutes if I had to guess, but I didn't time it and I was taking my time.
