Absolutely fantastic. My first gaiters and let me tell you, they were useful in my field. I'm a biologist working out of Finland for my MSc project. My work deals with mainly observing reindeer in the bogs and marshes of Northern Finland to assess certain behaviours of note. Without gaiters, my boots are always wet as I hike about 15 km a day through mainly moist and wet landscapes. The gaiters are very much 100% impermeable to water, strap easy and best washed in the shower to avoid making a mess. Used them every day for 25 days and not an issue. The coating on the red strap started to come off probably because I walk on a lot of jagged rocks, so not a real issue. I wear 7.5 US Mens and I found them just a little small though they fit well. If you were to layer too much you'd want to go one size up. Fantastic piece of gear for my fieldwork!
