Harry frequently uses the pendant as a talisman of his belief and faith in magic as a force of life and good. As a token of his faith, the pentacle has the power to repel certain creatures of the Nevernever©. When infused with Harry's will, the Pentacle glows with a low blue light. Harry describes the Pentacle as "a symbol of order with five points and five sides representing the forces of air, earth, water, fire, and spirit. It is contained within a circle, the points touching the outer ring. It represents the forces of magic bound within human control. Power balanced with restraint."© The pentacle's power comes from its shape - the five forces of the universe laid into patterns of order and life, working together in harmony, and bound within a circle of human thought and human will. Harry's Pentacle measures approximately 32.5 mm (1 5/16") in diameter (38 mm / 1 1/2" in diameter including bail) and 2.5 mm (1/8") at the thickest point. The pentacle pendant weighs approximately 8.1 grams in white bronze. The back of the pendant is textured.

A Really Nice Value...Very Attractive Piece.
I just received this in the mail. I was shocked at how nice it is. The silver is very reflective and it is heavier and more durable than I expected. The packaging was very nice (not that this was a concern for me) and if I had given it as a gift to someone, it really would have popped when they opened it.I am a big fan of the books and was really impressed with the value for the money. I may buy a few more to give out at Christmas.

Nice chain / front side of Pentacle
Very nice chain and nice Pentacle. Has a lot of shine to it and hefty weight (not a cheap one). Only two things I didn't care for is the clasp itself is very cheap (already bent / broken) and there is a definite "backside" of the pentacle. It is not polished on both sides as the back is a hammered look with copyright symbol. I will post pictures to go with this review soon so you see what I mean. The packaging was amazing. Definitely great as a gift as this would really stand out.
