Just finished cutting more than thirty holes in poplar. Tool didn't slow down once. But it took a sharp knife and a small pry bar to get tool out of package. A Burnz a Matic easily cleaned wood debris caught in tool. Threw away the box, but the tool's a keeper.

I have the gold and silver burs, and I held off buying this coarse bur as I thought it would leave scratch marks. That is not the case. This works great

I have been pretty happy with this. I am trying to dig out some significant wood that I couldnt get to with my router to make a planter. Cant really drill out anymore either.This went on my drill and works extremely well to hog out even really hard wood. You do have to control the movement by changing the spin direction in order for it not to come out and roll across your nice surface. But Ive had no real issues with it.It is painted so it will quickly look beat up once used, but no impact on performance. I havent really even needed to clean it very much. I had a brass brush expecting to need to clean the clogs often, but it really doesnt load up badly at all!I am really liking this and its a great addition to my shop.

I like this tool and it is useful. I continuing to search for a tool that is extra fine.

The media could not be loaded.  The 1/4 inch fine rasp is ideal for making custom knife handles for Japanese knives. The 1/8 rasp was ideal for cutting the tang hole in the handle bolster.It’s so much faster than a Kutzall 1/2 round hand rasp and I have a LOT more control with the 1/4 rasp with the variable speed controller on the Foredom flex grinder.I roughed out the custom handle seen in the photos from a rectangular block of maple burl. The rough out usually takes 60+ minutes with a hand rasp. With the Kutzall 1/4 rasp, I had my rough out done in 15 minutes.The short video shows the grinding speed in a scrap piece of rock maple. It works fast, even the fine grit.I used an oscillating spindle sander and then hand sanded the burl handle to 600 grit.I have not used a coarse Kutzall rasp yet - that has to be a real beast for grinding quickly! I wanted to minimize finish sanding so I opted for the fine rasp.Best addition to my knife handle making tool kit in a LONG time!Definitely worth the $$. Hope this helps!

This burr does several tasks. It can smooth a flat surface, grove a channel, and drill holes. Very aggresive burr that removes material quickly. I love Kutzall products. I have their convex and flat shapping discs, burrs of 1/8 & 1/4 shaft, one of their contour wheels, and a warding hand rasp. They make carving quick, accurate, and the finish is highly predictable. I own several and will buy several more in the future.

This burr works great like every Kutzall product I have purchased. I use the heck out of them and they never look any different. Great company.

This is a great burr. Buy it. But beware the packaging. While struggling to open the over-engineered plastic box it snapped, and sliced me up pretty good. No carving while my hands are bleeding profusely.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this product for the removal of rotten wood on a window frame. Works very well on dry timber, clogs with wet timber. A quick run over a wire brush clears it though.The only problem I had was that it wouldn't fit in my Makita die grinder. Despite a graphic on the website saying it was suitable. I used it in my drill instead.

Le gain de temps est considérable pour la sculpture sur bois !J'ai acheté plusieurs fraises de chez kutzall, après avoir testé le disque de meulage de 115 mm à pointe en carbure de tungstène.Le résultat est impressionnant, et qu'elle gain de temps ! La maniabilité et l'efficacité est excellente et pour la sculpture sur bois c'est franchement le top du top ! C'est du solide et pour les nettoyer il suffit de les bruler un peu aux chalumeaux.Je suis franchement impressionné par ce produit, qui me facilite le travail et cette marques américaine propose des produits d'excellente qualité et durable !
