Player Glass Marbles with Marble Jar For Storage, Set of 50, 16mm, Assorted Colors

This Set of 50 Assorted Player Marbles 5/8 Inch is a great choice if you want bright, colorful, varied-color marbles for arts and crafts purposes. (I don't play marbles, so I can't evaluate them for gaming purposes.) I bought them to help track Ability, Ki, and Sorcery points for my players' characters in 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons (we have a Fighter, Monk, Sorcerer who each have point systems). When players spend those kinds of points to perform certain kinds of attacks or spells, they place the requisite number of marbles in a container. After a long rest, I let them replenish their points from that same container. It works better for my group than tracking the points on paper, as someone always seems to misplace their notes and "forget" how many points they have left. With the marbles, there is a nice, clear, visual reminder that one can check at a glance. All I had to do was make small wooden trays that hold the marbles in a row (kind of like the stand that comes with Scrabble to hold your tiles) to represent the total unused Ability/Ki/Sorcery points for each character during gameplay.If you're looking for multi-colored marbles (not a matching set), this is great choice. Of the 50 I received, I would say there are at least 10 distinct colors and patterns. Although I haven't actually checked it closely, I have noticed that my set has about 5 "matching" marbles of each color/pattern (but probably not more than 5 of any matched type). If you need all the marbles to match or in a specific color/pattern, look elsewhere.

Grandson loves marble structures that marbles run on. These marbles were perfect for the apparatus he has. They came in the perfect size and in many delightful colors.

Product arrived in a protected package. No damaged marbles. It includes a container and mesh bag. There was a good assortment providing variety and a few with several duplicates. I purchased them for racing, so I have individuals and a few teams. Marbles have a great finish and are nicely patterned.

This was exactly what I was expecting it would be. Exactly 50 glass marbles of assorted colors and patterns in a simple clear plastic jar with a black lid . The marbles would work perfectly as player marbles in a classic game but I am purchasing these for use with a hand made marble run game. Some of the individual marbles are significantly larger and smaller than the others and the marble run is made of wood so I am not sure how well they will work. I will update my review once I have had a chance to put them through the marble run.

Good quality and variety of colors, my only complaint is that a couple were chipped. (not badly)

Good value for the money. Keep them on the bookshelf with other collectibles.

Great marbles, I play the marble runs with my 4 year-old.They're different sizes just a few slightly bigger than the rest. It's assorted with some beautiful colors.One came out broken but they were 50 in the box. After using them for about 7 months they still look good and none has broke.

Marbles are okay - a reasonable assortment of colors/patterns, but I really get the impression that these are the rejects or leftovers from many of the sets you see on here (the 'clownfish', 'bumblebee', 'peacock', etc.) which is fine if they were not all pock marked, cracked, etc. A few were absolutely unusable. I've posted a picture of a sample of what is in this set - a couple appeared paint splattered, but the 'paint' would not come off, many had small divots or holes in them, some were cracked, others were badly chipped. If the set were described as defective, damaged, irregular, etc. then I wouldn't have a problem with it. However, when I order a set of marbles that doesn't mention the fact that many of them will be damaged or defective in some way and actually describe them as TOP LINE QUALITY, it is absolutely unacceptable to be sent something like this. Just to be clear, the marbles were chipped BEFORE they were put into the sealed box; the tiny chipped pieces of marble you would expect to find if they were damaged during shipment were not inside the sealed plastic container.If you need marbles for a fish tank or some project where it doesn't matter if they are damaged, then this might be a decent deal for you. If you want them for any other purpose, I wouldn't recommend these.It should have tipped me off that many of the positive reviews were from people who had gotten these for free in return for a review.
