Beef taco meal
I was pretty impressed with this meal as a whole. I had the beef taco meal, which came with the meat pouch, 2 flour tortillas, a peanut butter pouch, a grape jelly pouch, an add water to make chocolate pudding pouch, an add water to make an orange koolaid pouch, a pouch of apple slices in a spice sauce, and the condiment pack. The condiment pack had freeze dried coffee, sugar, salt, a seasoning mix that reminded me of the Ramen noodle seasoning, a book of matches, 2 pieces of gum, a napkin pack, a spoon and a wet wipe. In the order that I ate it, the pudding was very tasty, I'd say as good as a pudding cup and without that whang that pudding cups have. (If you've ate one, you know the whang). I mixed up the koolaid and took a sip, but because I'm allergic to Orange flavoring, only a sip. It was good, not like dreamsicle good, but I imagine it's what Tang is like. Then I ate the PB&J on one of the tortillas...it was really pretty tasty. The jelly was a bit runny, but, I didn't mind since it had a good flavor. The main meal...the beef taco..it was ok. Not delicious, but not awful either. If I had eaten it first when I was so hungry, I'm sure it would have been better, but after everything else, it was just ok. The flavor was good, but the meat had that weird squishy texture and it was almost more like chili with no beans than taco tasting, but, I still ate it because I'm no quitter. I drew the line at the apple pouch tho...mainly because I hate cooked apples.

Fine but Missing Something
The meat is a bit overspiced with that cumin & cayenne-heavy "taco seasoning", and the sauce is on the sticky side. Other components better: southwest beans&rice, cheese spread, trail mix, orange drink. I'd recommended not using the notoriously weak heater and popping the mains [including tortillas] in boiling water for ten or fifteen minutes. And no dessert ? Really ?

A Great MRE experience for Me!
My 12yr old son was so excited to finally get his MRE. He had a friend stay over so they can play video games and try the MRE together. This was the 1st for both kids. They took their time and followed all the instructions with great excitement. Finding many different things in the package. He ordered the taco MRE. Some of the items were a Kool aid type drink, coffee to all the extras for it. There was jelly, combos, fruit, soft shells,meat/sauce,and all the extras.Even utensils to wet napkins. There is a heating element that does get really hot so please supervise. Over all this was More than expected, it was definitely worth the wait. They also got to experience a little of how a solider may get his meal on the go. He wants to try another MRE , so we are looking again. I definitely would recommend trying the Taco MRE .

Great taste for convince
Got the beef stew and beef taco. Both tasted really good for being an MRE. The Beef Stew came with a piece of multigrain bread and a packet of blackberry jam and a packet of peanut butter. When added to the bread it was quite tasty and I'm a pretty picky eater. The other came with a pack of sliced apples in spices. .That tasted exactly like the filling from an apple pie. And also some instant vanilla pudding that was quite sweet. All together great product with easy instructions for making and eating. Would by again for camping or traveling.
