Johnson Pumps - 57151 Shower Sump Pump Multi 1000 GPH , Grey

This unit far surpassed the others we have purchased and installed. The motor is serious about removing volume rapidly. The sealed electronic switch seems to work great. We try hard to flush a good amount of water behind any soap suds to keep the sump box clean. We like the deep design for shower volume but this one is for our head and galley sinks only. The tubular interior filter appears to be sound and functional.Time will tell if this unit holds up.

This sump works like it should and was easy to install. It fit under the sole of my Irwin 37 Sailboat and handles AC condensate, Shower water, and the dehumidifier drain like a pro. I tried the cheaper other brand that is sold in Westmarine first and couldn't get it to drain properly. This one fit the bill.

I sure hope they keep making these. They replace exactly as is on my 02' Regal.

Lo único es que venía mal armado, los tornillos de anclaje de la bomba tienen una arandela de goma, venían todas rotas por sobre apriete y faltaba un tornillo interior. Tuve que usar piezas de la bomba antigua

Worked great for about two months then the automatic switch broke. Johnson pump sent a replacement switch and it worked for another couple months. Then the pump wouldn't seal anymore and started spilling water out of the top. Johnson pump sent a replacement pump. Installed new replacement pump and now the replacement auto switch is broken. The switch/pump that make up this setup are complete junk. I'll never buy their products again.

After trying a couple different cheap no-name sumps I decided to try the Johnson. It is fantastic - no more overflowed into the bilge! And I’ve seen people complaining that it doesn’t shut off, and we too have had that problem. The fix, however, is incredibly simple. When it misbehaving, simply pour some fresh water into the tank itself, not via shower. Even using phosphate-free biodegradable soaps, there is still soap scum that accumulates. The pump doesn’t turn off because the suds make it think it’s still under water even if it’s not. A couple cups of water and poof, it works like it’s supposed to. One thing I don’t like is that the lid attaches with screws. To simplify, I drilled a hole in the top of one corner and then attached it with a small zip tie, so I can swivel it open, but also close it again without having to pull out a screwdriver. We’ve liked it so much we will get another one for the forward head.

It was a simple swap. Part for part.Nothing on a boat is an easy install.This went in as easy as the old one came out.

This was a replacement for the sump I had that went bad... exact same model. Easy to install as my power lines were already there, and so were my hoses. I just had to wire it up and attach the hoses, I also calked them. Works the way it was intended.
