Charlton Heston Presents the Bible: The Passion

This is not a dramatic enactment. Primarily it's Mr. Heston reading Scripture relating directly to The Passion of our Lord. There are only four DVDs in the series -- would have been nice to have the WHOLE Bible. It's recorded on location with a majestic presentation by Mr. Heston.

Educational, entertaining, and very moving.

Charlton Heston is the greatest actor the world has ever known. I can think of no better qualified person to have done this project than him.This should be required viewing by all elementary through high school students.

It would be hard to imagine a better actor to bringthe Bible narratives to life. This is Charlton Hestonat the top of his game in thoughtfully getting to theheart of every nuance of the stories he relates.Heston really understands the beauty of the languageand the telling moments of character and plot that drivethis passionate story of God & God's people to itsconclusion in the Gospels.The main body of the film is just the right length at under an hour.It is well produced and visually attractive and always interesting. A piece on the makingof the film is of similar length and very revealing on the skills called upon to produce this type of film.Given the quality of this work it is a great pity that other Bible stories narrated by Charlton Heston arenot available as yet on dvd in the UK.

He kept me hooked from beginning to end. Must find all the other episodes that was done.
