Artfix is double sized for protection against oil paints, allowing uniform "breathing" which reduces paint film stress.

- Available in both linen and cotton, Artfix canvases are available in various weaves, including the finest tooth quadruple primed Belgium linen that is ideal for large format works. A specially formulated acrylic sizing is applied to every canvas twice to completely isolate the fabric from the acids contained in the primer and the paint. Then the canvas receives up to six coats of oil or acrylic universal primer. The process yields the suppleness and strength that is needed for maximum tension when mounting to stretcher bars.
