Works well. As a runner it's also great for not startling other humans on the trail.
Great bell and design. I keep one on my running back and use it in the woods but also if there are others on the trail that I don't want to startle. I added a stronger magnet to mine, I simply stuck another magnet to the exiting one, the stronger magnet keeps it from rattling no matter what happens.

So far no bear attacks😁
We have a neighborhood bear and my dog knows it's around even when I don't. Figured I'd test these to make sure the bear and I avoid confrontation and so far so good. And the magnet used to silence the bell is perfect when we're hiking in areas not populated by Yogi and friends.

Nice unit
Used these on our hikes in Glacier National Park. Did not see any bears so I guess they worked?

Important to have!
Thankfully we didn't need this product when we spent time camping in the mountains, but it was nice to have them anyway!

Not very loud.
These seem to be nice quality, but aren’t very loud. I bought them so that I could put one on the dog and wear the other. The dog typically wears a goat bell, but the clapper sometimes gets bound up in it. I thought a bear bell would be a better bet. When my dog is up ahead of me with the bear bell, I can barely hear him!

Loud but you will lose it.
Loud but the velcro fastenings do not last more then a few walks.Lost a few now so have found a better prouct else where.
