This tubing is comprised of Carbon Fiber Braid and Unidirectional Fabrics. This product is ideal for building light weight frames and structures such as trusses. Our Carbon Fiber tubing has been engineered to be much stronger under torsional and side loading than pultruded tubing. Our carbon fiber tubing is also significantly lighter than pultruded tubing. Our carbon fiber large tube has been designed so that the unidirectional layers are captured, eliminating longitudinal cracking and splitting.

Strong, light and affordable.
These are affordable carbon rods with 1 inch inside openings. They are about 1.1 inches on the outside diameter and not truly "square" as the walls bow outwards just a bit. Not a huge deal, but something to know if you are making a precise build. I used these to make a MUCH lighter and stronger platform for my 12 foot job, which has a 1x2 inch tube frame as the main support. By placing three of these together with JB Weld and some well distributed side pressure, I ended up with a VERY rigid and light 3 inch wide by 8 inch long platform for mounting my rigs to. Dropped about 3 pounds off the front of the jib, which meant 3 more pounds of capacity for my camera builds (like adding my DJI Ronin M and still having spare capacity for a full 8 pound camera and a light on the end) or using CONSIDERABLY less counter balance weight on the operator end of the jib (like 36 pounds less). The walls are not as smooth as I have found with other CF rods, but that suited my needs as I was using adhesive to join them. For many structural applications, these will serve you well and provide a very light and strong support mechanism.
