Many wonderful crafts and ideas
Loved this book for the variety of garden themed decorations, crafts and ideas. If you have a garden you can make almost anything in the book, but if you don't there are still many ideas to do with materials you gather elsewhere. The fact that it was seasonally organized is a nice touch, as one can refer back to it several times a year for new ideas. The table of contents also has photos of each idea making it easy to skim for what you might want to read about. There were extensions to the craft ideas in many cases as well, like making seed paper and an idea for making a paper rose with the seed paper and gifting it in a flower pot. I enjoyed the variety of plant tag ideas and the fact that I could try different ones each year to see which worked best. There are great activities to do with kids, like bird nest helpers and bug hotels. And wonderful planter ideas. Every turn of the page is like an adventure in fun garden activities. I love the photos and the instructions are easy to follow with material lists and tips on how to obtain what you need. The resources lean a bit heavy on amazon, but at least the items are detailed enough you can look other places for the supplies. Overall I think if you enjoy garden ideas and like to create using natural materials you will love this book. Although is says there are 40 ideas, there are actually more than that when you include the ways you can use the crafts you make. I received a preview copy of this book and am loving every page as I begin working with my garden. Cannot wait to make the wreath!

Great garden projects
A beautiful book with many useful ideas. I've gone through the book and tried a few, all were easy to do and the explanations were great. Stephanie Rose also has a great website and is a great speaker... I saw her at the NW Flower and Garden Show. She has a great life story I encourage everyone to read about in this book.

Creative Projects that Capture the Beauty of Nature
I've been a fan of Stephanie's blog, Garden Therapy, for several years and this book offers even more of her unique crafty goodness. What sets Stephanie's work apart is a certain gracefulness. She takes items from nature and works with their character and beauty to create lasting crafts and decor we can enjoy and use in our homes (and gardens) for years to come. The projects range from simple and easy (twig garden markers, pressed leaf cards, gourd tea lights) to the knock-your-socks-off ideas like the succulent picture garden, living seasonal wreaths, and bug hotel. If you're looking for a quick pinecones and googly-eyes make-it-and-be-done crafts, this is not for you. If you just love nature and gardens and want to hold that beauty in your hands and work with it, I think you'll love the projects in this book.

I love, love
I love, love, love this book. I'm new to gardening and I appreciate the beautiful pictures and helpful text in the book, as well as the projects. There are so many fun projects to help make the most of the plants in your garden, or to enhance your garden's beauty. I trust Stephanie Rose's advice and tips from her experience as a Master Gardener. Can't wait for each season to come so I can make all of the projects!

Seasonally Inspired Projects for Your Home and Garden
For the gardener who crafts and the crafter who gardens there are a year's worth of inspiring projects. I prefer to decorate my home seasonally with objects from nature rather than from home decor or craft stores and Stephanie's book provides the insiration and information to do so. I was thrilled to see the felted acorns as I have wanted to try my hand at these for ages. I just picked up an old chandlier at a garage sale which I plan to transform into the solar chandelier featured on pg 80.Well worth purchasing!

Spring Will Come
In the middle of Winter, this is just the book to make you yearn to get your hands in the dirt and spruce up your landscape and home with Spring! Wonderful photos and easy to follow instructions. Wish there had been more projects, though, or maybe some links to websites.

A great contemporary up-to-date resource for finding creative ways to garden and creative things to make from the garden. Very inspiring. Very resourceful!

Adult Arts & Crafts
Reading through this book brought back memories of summer camp when I was a child. The projects may be a little more advanced than the things we made as children, but I found them largely useless for me. I was hoping for a book on things I could make for the garden that were a little more than whimsica or cutesy. It was a disappointment for me.

Garden Made is an easy read, I imagine that Stephanie Rose speaks just ...
As a horticultural therapist who enjoys crafts I am always looking for new activities and ideas, both for work and personal use. Garden Made is an easy read, I imagine that Stephanie Rose speaks just like she writes, with enthusiasm. Many of the craft idea were new to me and the others a reminder of things long forgotten. It's easy to expand on all the ideas to make them individual to you or your clients. They could easily be adjusted for ability levels and age. The photography in the book is lovely and clearly shows the projects. I could imagine this book would be a useful resource for any horticultural therapy project, activity coordinator and individuals who enjoy crafts.
