Does not consistently supply power or connect peripherals
This dock is exactly the type of product that I wanted. But unfortunately, it doesn't work consistently. I've tried many workarounds but I cannot recommend this product for the following reasons:1. It does not consistently provide power to my mac. You can tell because the power icon on the Mac will report that it's in a battery discharge state. That's solvable if you plug your mac power cord into the usb-c passthrough slot, but that means committing the passthrough slot for that use.2. My peripherals don't work consistently. You'll likely have a keyboard, mouse, camera, etc. attached to this. I've had those just stop working. Sometimes unplugging and replugging in the power supply works. Sometimes unplugging the USB's work. Sometimes rebooting works. But none of these is consistent. Also, sometimes they stop working for just a second, sometimes for much longer. Imagine being in a work meeting and suddenly your camera/keyboard/mouse all stop working. I've tried all sorts of solutions for this - e.g. keeping another power supply plugged in, changing which USB ports I'm using, etc... but the issue is that when one USB port stops working, all 3 don't work, so I can't even just switch to another port, they're all dead.Other than that, when it works, it's great. I truly wanted to keep this because when it works it's elegant and everything I want in terms of being a single non-bulky dock. But I can't have my keyboard/mouse/camera/etc. randomly failing on me.

Somewhat great but still needs some tweaking.
The LandingZone 16-Port Docking Station is a great stationary docking station for having an all in one hub for your MacBook Pro 16. From quick accessible cable ports on the back to cable management. As well as the design looks great with it to keep the traditional model. The connection for my Tv as well portable storage is a great deal for my to have everything at my desk. Also I want to that the docking station will be using all of your mackbook pro ports and charges up so you wouldn't have to worry about losing power. Although there are some difficulties that you'll probably find. Mainly from experience, my MacBook Pro fans always going loudly as if I'm running a huge project for extend hours to where I might find it overheating at times. As well for the 1 or 2 of the ports aren't that much compatible to where I have to use the side to be able to connect. As well as due to the height of the model cause little airflow to go through where you might want to set on top of a book.

Stable so far
I have a brand new MBP 16 and wanted a dock for work to work on an external 4k monitor and have an audio interface and external speakers for work (I work in church music). I've been pleased so far. I'm currently utilizing most of the ports. I charge my iPhone from a standard USB to lightning, plug in a small little Presonus 24c. I did have a little trouble getting either of the DisplayPort outs to be stable with my monitor, but it is a cheap monitor and my feeling is the issue is probably on the monitor side. Once I plugged it into HDMI out it's been rock solid at 4k/60hz. I've been happy with it so far, the lock in mechanism is secure. It does take me a second to line up the MBP perfectly when I remount it on the dock -- which I hope to get quicker at over time. Overall pleased with the purchase.

Nice dock if you never intend to use Thuderbolt devices
Does not pass through Thunderbolt 3 ports, it is USB C passthrough only. This makes it pretty much useless with Thunderbolt 3 devices. I have 2 27" Thunderbolt displays, and thought it would be nice to have a dock. You can't convert the displayport to Thunderbolt 2, you can't use the very expensive Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter on USB C.On top of it all the USB C ports are "noisy" going on to pro audio interfaces. It may have a metal frame, but it is a giant plastic brick as far as I am concerned. There are better solutions out there for a lot less money. USB C is great for a lot of my applications, but I want to use my expensive 27' Thunderbolt 2 monitors, and that's just not possible with this dock.

Works Great with 2019 MacBook Pro 16"
I was finally able to replace my Dell Laptop with a MacBook Pro! One of my concerns with replacing the Dell Laptop was a proper docking station! Because of the technological change, it took me some time to get my MacBook Pro to work properly as a replacement with this dock. The biggest hurdle I had to overcome was connecting this docking station to my dual monitors. I have a 34" LG Curved Display (3440x1440) and an old AcerJT240x6 (1920x1080) monitors. I was unable to get ANY of the DisplayPort to HDMI cables to work properly. I've gone thru 4 or 5 different cables.Today, I finally found the solution! The Amazon Solution:Accell DP to HDMI Adapter - DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 Active Adapter - 4K UHD @60Hz, 3D Resolutions up to 1920x1080@120HzTHANK YOU ACCELL!!!

Well built, but not all metal
The product seems well built but I was expecting it to be an entirely metal device. It instead is plastic painted to look like metal. Also, there are places on the body of the device where it appears to have once been a plan to put a few more ports in, but the idea was later scrapped, leaving some indents in the shape of HDMI and USB C ports.

This is a good docking choice for the new 16" MacBook Pro laptops.
It is a very handy docking station choice. It is a bit difficult to line up the USB C ports on the sides of the laptop with the laptop, but it is not terribly difficult. It takes about 30 seconds. (My PC laptop takes about 1 second to snap into its docking station). It is a bit pricey for what you get, but still worth it.

Replaced my 13" Macbook with a 16"
THe 13" Dock felt solid and unbreakable , the 16" is flimsy and difficult to dock my Laptop without having the dock in sight ( Desk Pullout) It works but expensive for what you get.Update: I docked my mack but was unable to get the dual Displayport features to work. I have a dual screen system critical to my job. What made it worse was the total non response from Landingzone technical support. Appears they are clueless and you are on your own. I will be returning this device.
