Great for apartments, not for houses
Works well for dog owners living in an apartment, especially with more than one person taking care of them. You manually track each time your dogs goes to the bathroom, so it's not as useful for homes with a backyard (where you aren't watching your dog's every move). You also manually input when you feed/water/medicated your dog. The app then syncs all of the accounts connected to your dog so everyone will know that the dog already got fed, pooped, etc. The only things that aren't manually done with the app are the number steps your dog takes in a day (how active he is) and how many walks you went on (including how far). It tracks via Bluetooth when your phone and the hachiko sensor are close together. If the phone and hachiko sensor leave the wifi area (house), then you must be on a walk together. My car trip to the vet sure looked like a stellar walk!

Limited value and band broke after a month of use
The rubber band that connects the device to your dog's collar broke after 30 days. It comes with bands of two sizes, but only one worked for my dogs collar. It was fun for the month we used it, but I am not going to pursue trying to get another band to continue using it. You really have to be dedicated to keep entering all the information about your dogs activity (when they ate, eliminated, etc) to get the full value. If multiple people care for your dog, AND you can get everyone to enter this info, this would help you get a grasp of your dog's day. But if you are you dog's only caretaker, you pretty much know all this stuff without a tracker.

Great product! Just not for me.
Works good if you're tracking your personal walks with your dog. My dog has severe fear-aggression, so we don't take many walks. And when we do, they are short. My dog gets tons of exercise from us playing ball in my backyard. This product will track how many steps she's taken, which has sometimes been over 10,000 in a day. So I'm looking more for something that actually monitors her activity, including steps but also speed and calories burned. And I don't want to have to input every time she's peed, pooped, eaten, gotten meds, or fed a treat. I just want to know to know how much excercise she's getting everyday. But it is a great item if you wanna track walks with your dog or keep up with your dogs other dog walkers or caregivers.

Great while it lasted
I initially really liked this product. My dog has epilepsy and I used this device to track her activity and seizure frequency. It registered a lot of activity when she had a seizure so if I was gone for a while I could check to make sure no seizures while I was out. After reading other reviews, I regularly checked the band that was prone to breaking. Unfortunately the band broke while she was outside and the device was lost. So I would give it 5 stars for the month that it worked but no stars thereafter.

Surprisingly Fun
So when I first saw this product I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I love gadgets and thought I would give it a try (especially since it was not expensive)The set up only took a few minutes and was easy enough. I attached it to Rustys’ harness and it seems pretty sturdy. We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I have to say I love it!Right off the bat we started to get info on Rustys’ activities. How many steps he’s taking (which is great, other products I’ve seen use various activity points which does not tell actual steps) and his comings and goings with my roommate. It took a little convincing to make him log in other actions, but now that we are doing it it’s reducing our nagging one another! My favorite part is that I don’t have to charge it.. they say it lasts a year- so waiting to see if that’s the case! The only part that I think could still use some work is the stats section. Both in terms of the design itself and the functionality. I would love to be able to compare Rustys’ activity this week to past ones and see any trends. All in all I think this is a great find. I’d recommend it to anyone with a dog, especially if you have more than one person caring for your dog!

Not ready -
This product doesn't track your dog - it's marketed that way - but if your dog gets loose you won't be able to find him/her. Apparently it's only of any value if you are with your dog and have your iphone on. Several other bugs I assume they are working on. I don't believe the product is ready for prime time. I'd suggest you wait.

Makes a great gift!
I was looking for a way to track my dog activity for a long time, but I couldn't find the correct product for it, especially since I’m less interested in the GPS component (Briciola is micro chipped and that’s enough for me).I found this product though the Amazon LaunchPad, which I have to say is an awesome initiative- I love finding cool startups! Anyway saw this and another one (don’t remember the name), but they seemed similar and I liked the price here- so I decided to give it a shot. I'm very happy with it. The setup was quick and easy. Within a minute, both me and my boyfriend registered. We set walking goals with Briciola and so far I feel like we are actually walking him more and longer than we used to. Also you can take pics in the app and send messages so that’s been fun to use.I think this is going to make a great stocking stuffer this Xmas, the device itself is so pretty and loved the adorable little pug on the package! I have a few friends that would LOVE this.
