Armadillo Signature Series Holsters are hand crafted in the USA using vegetable tanned leather. Benefit of vegetable tanned leather is to eliminate the potential damage to the original finish of a gun with exposure compared to chromed tanned leathers. We use 8-9 oz leather for holsters, mag pouches,tie downs and 5-6 oz leather for shoulder straps. This helps the rig to be stiff and strong enough yet not bulky and too rigid and allows the straps to be worn under jacket or coat. Quality of craftsmanship differentiates our signature series from other products. Signature series are hand molded and fitted for each individual gun model. All edges of the holsters, the mag pouches and tie downs are burnished and painted. All our snap buttons are custom made in the US with our logo on it to give the crisp action with the quality of YKK snaps. We have used black anodized special screws for attachment with open end design that allows the customer to apply temporary thread locker (such as loctitte) after the adjustment. Proudly Made in USA This particular Holster is built for 5" 1911 models with out the rail. It will not accommodate railed models. The fitment for a 5" gun at the tip of the barrel is a bit shy of flush.
