built for large riders
The only solution for riders 280 pounds and up. I was popping spokes on my previous rims, and this rim is bulletproof. Pair this with the snakeskin tires, and you don't have much to worry about.

Shockingly good wheel.
I've been riding HED3 wheels for about 15 years. I love tri-spoke because truing wheels is a pain, and spoke nipple punctures are ridiculous. I was really concerned that this wheel would be a poor substitute for the HED's. Several thousand miles later, I'm happy to report that I have no issues with the wheel. It turns out to be a bargain that's well made. It does require carbon brake pads, but it comes with a set.

Very nice looking wheels.
I bought 2 of these wheels for use on the rear on our tandem. That are beautiful to look at and they appear to be very well made.
