Works great!
I have a doggie lawn on my patio and developed a horrible fly problem. I refuse to get those horrible sticky tape things or bottles that collect and drown flies , so other options are electric bug zappers ( only work at night with a light) or this. You hang the provided bags up with sawdust and fly parasite eggs which hatch in about 7-10 days. There’s no mess, the fly parasites are tiny, like gnats and they take care of the flies. I have no more fly problem, can’t recommend these enough!

Eggs definitely hatched. No more blue bottle flies in my home!
My apartment (inside) always had 5 flies at any given point in time for the past 4 years. I didn’t think too much of it. Earlier this summer, this one day, there were suddenly 70+ flies flying around my living room. Pest control said there wasn’t anything they can do about it because they weren’t able to identify the food source (dead rodent, feces, etc) of the flies. They were only able to identify the fly type, which were blue bottle flies. We used the sticky fly traps throughout the apartment to catch them so the situation calmed down a bit. But then a month later, we had the same issue. Another 70+ flies roaming around the living room.My good friend, google, suggested getting fly parasites, so I ordered it. Within 2-3 days, I saw the little black fly parasites crawling around inside the package. So I set up the little fly parasite baggies (included in the package) right outside of the apartment, around the porch. I haven’t seen a fly in the apartment ever since. Guess these little guys actually worked.Would recommend giving this a try if you have a major house fly infestation like I did.

No flies hatched and definitely not 5000 in bag
I’m so bummed. I soooo wanted the flies to help!! When they arrived, there were no flies crawling around in the bag like I read there would be. And I swear there wasn’t even 500 “eggs” in the bag. I wasn’t expecting a miracle to happen with getting rid of my fly problem right away, I knew I’d most likely have to purchase more, but I expected something to happen. I won’t be taking a chance on buying another bag of duds.

Seem to Work
Definitely hatched as I can see very tiny flies on the mesh bag. Hard to tell if they are working. Not a lot of flies in the barn, but no way to know how many there would be if these weren’t there. Arrived with no problems except they were shipped over a holiday weekend, so they spent more time in transit. Cardboard hook on the mesh bag was not well attached, but a little bailing wire solved that.

Kind of works.
I have a 1/8th acre lot. About a week after release I noticed a decrease in flies. It lasted about a week to a week and a half. The reviews and research I did say that you must start early in the season or the flies will out reproduce the wasps. After about two weeks the flies were back in full force. For the price this would not be a good solution for me.

Lots of flies this year
We have fewer than we would have had after using the fly predators, sadly though, I didn't keep up with subsequent orders. I've used these before and got an order of them monthly. They worked wonders! We're on a farm (goats, chickens, dogs, cats) and flies can get bad. Just didn't keep up this year.

Rabbits and Gulf Coast
I live along the gulf in Texas and when we it rains it's heavy. Our outdoor rabbits produce a lot of poop that the flies loved, and made worse by heavy rain. This quickly became an issue as the flies were loving the conditions. We tried just using fly strips, but they just didn't do enough. There were quickly so many flies they were even coming into the house and was the worst fly issue we had seen in the almost decade we've lived there. After we lost a rabbit, possibly fly strike, I began to lookup up fly control methods, which is where I read of some rabbit owners using them to control their fly problems and avoid losing a rabbit to fly strike. I liked the idea of using nature to combat the flies and decided to give fly parasites a shot. They first time I purchased them it was early/mid spring before fire-ants were out in full force. They started hatching within a day or two of arrival and I spread them out under the hutch and let them do their work. Within a week the fly population was almost non-existent. I even noticed they had spread to our nearby Tomato plant because I had fertilized it with rabbit poop and there were evidently flies there as well. The second time was about a month later, near beginning of June. This time the fire-ants were everywhere. Natures Good Guys note in the documentation that fire-ants will kill the Fly Exterminators, especially the pupa. Unfortunately I noticed this info too late, they had arrived and were hatching already. I spread the hatching Fly Exterminators under the hutches and threw some hay over them to try and give them a chance. Unfortunately there was only a minor reduction in flies, but that was due to the fire-ants. My fault for not planning and using ant poison before the fly predators arrived.I'm looking forward to using the Fly Exterminators again!

works wonders paired with Simplify for horses and Giant Fly Glue Trap paper by Catchmaster
We have horses and donkeys and first started using the Simplify with their food then at the same time started using the preditors and wrapping all of our trash cans and poles with the fly glue trap paper. It was 100 today and I saw one fly while mucking out. Not sure if one is working better than the other but all three together is life changing.
