Wood Stock Clamp Screw Holder Chicago Electric Harbor Freight 12" & 10" MITER SAW OEM 61970, (May Work with 61969, 61971, 61972)

Threaded post for the clamp is longer than the original so i can clamp larger pieces to cut. Looks like its good quality. Cant wait to put it to the test

No surprises - this is a drop in replacement for the Harbor Freight 12" sliding miter saw by Chicago Electric, models 61970 and 61776. Also works very well as an additional clamping bar for this saw. Highly recommended.

It works to add a second holder to my miter saw. Had issues with the first product missing pieces but the seller replaced.

Way overpriced and flimsy construction. The support shaft is hollow and not nearly as strong as many other manufacturer's hold down clamps which are solid steel. It is difficult at best to see this hollowness in the descriptive photos; it certainly had me fooled into thinking it was a solid steel shaft. The company says that a hollow support shaft is strong enough for this clamp's intended use. I prefer solid steel.Also, there is no rubber padding on the clamp, chancing potential gauge marks on any soft wood piece you might be cutting if you screw down too aggressively.The company took exception to my observations and sent me a message disagreeing with my assessment of their clamps and the picture descriptions, saying that it actually shows that hollowness. Ridiculous company.

Nice replacement piece, but certainly not heavy duty

When my original broke (after years of use) I had to get a replacement (safety first!).I was not disappointed when the replacement arrived...it’s better than the original!
