Blackboard / Chalkboard Contact Paper Kit (Premium) - Includes Chalk and Eraser - 6' X 18"

I ordered this product because I like to make lists to refer to in my kitchen, laundry room and office and it seemed a convenient way to accomplish this. I could never find whiteboards the right size and I don't think they're very attractive. Being able to have a chalkboard look instead is more fun. I did find some traditional chalkboards to hang but they seemed bulky. With this blackboard contact paper I'm able to cut to any size I want. With the grid on the back it's easy. It was really simple to apply with good instructions and tips. If you don't get it exactly where you want it the first time you can move it around.It even comes with chalk and an eraser so I didn't have to go buy anything else. Everything is very complete in the package. Fun product for kids bedrooms and playrooms too. I use it in my kitchen and write the dinner menu for the day on it. So many ways to use this product and at a great price. I give it five stars!

Eh....It wasn't very consistent. It didn't stick well along the edges, but it stuck really well in the middle, so my toddlers were able to pull it up and rip it off, but it pulled off the wall paint in the middle. Also, it doesn't clean off very well, even with a damp rag. Oh, and the chalk that comes with it completely sucks. I had better luck with sidewalk chalk because it's softer.

These are great ideas and do work. I'd say you get what you pay for. My husband and I use a six foot strip in our project room. It went on the wall very easily with two people! So grab a helper to set it up! There are some air bubbles/pockets. We used a credit card to help smooth out those bumps, but it doesn't seem possible to get them all out. The chalk we have seems too waxy because it doesn't apply to the paper well at al l(though it is legible) - - I have to experiment with different chalks to determine whether that is the chalk or the paper.

This was super easy to put up in our kitchen and we plan on framing with some trimwork. The top half is for our schedules and appointments and the bottom half is for our 2yr old to draw on. I recommend using other chalk with it as the chalk that came with seems to be too hard/compressed and doesnt transfer tot he paper unless you break a piece and there is some looseness to the chalk. I worry about the chalk scratching the paper permanently, which is why I recommend using other (softer) chalk pieces. The cloth is great to wipe down. I also recommend priming first by spreading chalk over the full surface. I highly recommend!

Works really great with Super Chalk markers. But you will need a chalkboard cleaner spray to clean. But will clean very easily and looks perfect afterward.

I wont buy this again. It's a fun, cheap kit - but it didn't work well with my liquid chalk pens and it's hard to erase standard chalk off of it, too.

The blackboard chalkboard looks like flat black contact paper, with adhesive back, that you can write on.It comes with a sheet of tips and ideas rolled up inside the box, read those first, lots of great ideas, so, be sure and look for the sheet. Also note that the 5 pieces of chalk are sealed inside the rolled up blackboard chalkboard with the small microfiber erasing cloth. I think that one of the important things to note, from these instructions, is that if you want to use a LARGE piece of the chalkboard all on one piece, that you should roll it out flat overnight, and let the "curve" flatten out.The chalk isn't as dark as I thought it might be, but it helps to rub a "flat" area on the stick of chalk, which will get more chalk on the blackboard. And, according to the included instructions, this blackboard works well with "chalk ink" markers, so I'm going to get some of them. The blackboard wipes clean with the included microfiber towel, and wipes especially clean when the towel is slightly damp.The total length of this blackboard is 6 feet, which is longer than I need. I plan to cut it in half, and make a blackboard that is 3 feet tall by 3 feet wide.

Kinda flimsy but ok not what I expected its vinyl not paper. Gave a few hours of fun but not what I expected.
