"You field this one, Finn. That big hat is kinda freaking' me out..."
A few years ago, Marvel compiled a series of stories by alternative comic artists called "Strange Tales" (first volume is well worth a read) and these "Sugary Shorts" keep within this spirit. Sugary shorts follows the inhabitants of Ooo in short snippets and occasionally weird misadventures as they go about their day-to-day lives.I love the art. I'll get that out of the way. The artists featured in this volume are excellent choices and the "storylines" fit perfectly with the AT mythos. You could picture these stories lifted from the page and expanded upon on screen. I will go far out and say I enjoyed reading these stories than the main series (strong as that is). I would've loved to have seen more unseen content and probably more obscure characters featured. Its not as cerebral as Marvels strange tales, but it is more consistent. I recommend this to AT fans (of course) I dont think this might be the ideal platform for those who have only been introduced though.
