This piece is absolutely beautiful for the price.. Its made of a poly resin/hard plastic that is very durable. The size is smaller than I anticipated but its definitely not tiny. The measurements are as follows:Height- Approx. 5 1/2"Width- Approx. 4"Depth- Approx. 7"This is not a museum piece but very well crafted for the price. If you're into skulls or just want a cool bank this is for you. If you're on the fence like I was, just take the leap and purchase it. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone.UPDATE 4/10/2016 - I changed my review from 5 to 4 stars. Although the piece is still beautiful and vibrant, it does not work well as a bank if you're using it to hold coins. The rubber cover on the bottom which you use to take out the money will fall out from the weight of the coins causing your change to instantly come out. A small piece of duct tape over the rubber cover will easily resolve the issue.

Contemplate death and final judgement in the vain of the Celtic Saints while saving money.This is a really nice Celtic skull / piggy bank.The only thing to note is that despite how the picture looks the green is not metalic and is a little darker than the picture.Beyond that it's a great purchase.

Having dealt with resin products before, I like the Idea that this was sturdy, painted with nice designs on sculpted surface ... and was hallow .. .. I wanted to be able to take the bottom stopper out, and have it sit on cheap-o garden solar lamp .. (once you take off the lamp coverings, turn the lamp upside down, and put skull on top with the lamp bulb resting inside the hole with skull stopper removed )It makes an interesting night/side-lamp and glows.

This bank is absolutely beautiful. I love that it came in a box and was well-packed with styrofoam to protect it; perfect since I'm giving this as a gift. I also like the suggestions other reviewers have made about putting the little LED light inside and using it as a lamp/nightlight. Some people are SO creative! I'm going to pass this info along when I deliver the bank. The receiver may decide to use it that way instead of a bank - either way, this item is well worth the money and I'm very happy with my purchase.
