Hat is good quality, sturdy, fits nicely and can wear with brim fedora look (down front, up back brim) or all down brim, round gangster look. I wear about a 7.5 ball cap, got the XL was too big replaced with Large that was perfect.

I'm a hat guy and enjoy hats from Kangol, Stetson, Goorin among others. I do like quality hats but I wanted something to wear to work that I wouldn't be upset if it got dirty.I was leary to order the hat because of the reviews stating it ships in an envelope. Mine did not. It was sealed in a thick plastic bag inside an amazon prime box. It was not in a hat box but the box arrived in great condition. There was tape around the band and the feather was sealed in a separate bag. So everything was pristine and the hat was in perfect shape.This is a well made hat that looks like it will keep its shape. The felt is thick and looks nice. The band is well made and is thick so it will last. I bought an XL and it was just a little big. I used a couple of hat reducers and it fits like a glove. When you buy hats like these, I would always recommend buying hat sizers as well. My head is narrow so I always use them on the sides. This hat ran just a little bigger than I expected but again that's part of the hat game unless you have it made specifically for your head.I like this hat quite a bit. It's very comfortable. The inside hat band is soft. The hat is not light but doesn't feel heavy on your head. I get a lot of compliments when wearing it. Hats in the belfry seems like a solid hat company and I'll consider another from their selection soon. I'm happy with the overall purchase and would certainly buy it again.

I have been looking for a decent fedora for some time. The main problem is that I need a size 8. Most companies don’t make hats that big. I saw this, saw the price and thought I would give it a try.It’s actually a little big on me, and I have never said that about a hat before. I may have to do a little to the sweatband.I see people complaining that it isn’t shaped right. Any hat takes a little training. I’ve had this for a day and it is already well on its way to looking the way I want it to. It started with the brim curling up all the way around. It just takes a little patience.Is this a great hat? No. Is it a nice, inexpensive, serviceable hat? Certainly. Well worth the money.

My hat size falls between L and XL. So which one to get? I watched a dapper gent who posts men's wardrobe videos on the Y'tube who was helpful with the color and style selection, but not so much where a proper fitting hat ought to sit atop my melon. I reasoned the smaller one would stretch a little over time and went with L. As expected, it fits snugly which is a good thing since I wear it while playing guitar and don't want it falling off if I bend down to putz with an FX pedal. It certainly completes the look I'm going for - least ways it helps to shade and conceal my mug when I'm making my own videos and want to be unrecognized. No one wants to see an old fat guy who can still rock - better to maintain a little mystery.About hat quality. I'm old enough to remember the fedoras my Dad wore to work at the office in the 60's. They were neither felt nor crushable. A level of handmade quality that isn't so common today - but at a price. The Belfry hat is nicely made - I don't much care for the couple of stitches that secure the hat band nor the way the felt (black with black band) shows lint - and how my cat got hair on my hat I'll never know. Can he get up in the top of my closet?!? The mutt! A little tape made quick work of the lint and hair.It's not a daily wear for me so expect it will last a long time and take longer to break in because I don't wear it as much. Still I'm quite happy with it. I'm just more of a John Deere cap kind of guy around the house and yard. And when playing, recording and mixing. Performing is another thing though. I'm pretty styling now - for a rocking geezer. Thanks Belfry guys! Any tips for stretching it just a smidgen?

My husband has a large head and it was available in his size. This hat both fits perfectly and looks good. It’s a classic.

I bought the black one first and immediately loved it bcuz it fit my big head! Since blue is my favorite color I had to get another. I've traveled with both of them, crushed em flat and they both bounced back to perfect shape. They slide up a bit while wearing it bcuz of my locs but they are comfortable and look great! Would definitely recommend and I might even get another!

I ordered the X large as matched on the size chart. Way too big. So I exchanged for a Large. And I'm pretty sure it's the same size just relabeled. I'd order 2 sizes smaller if I were you. It's a nice hat, if it fit right.

Package was in such a bad condition that shape of hat changed. The feather was missing from hat

head isn't as fat as I thought it was! This hat was about half a size to big. I have a hole in my haircut, and I get a chill if air conditioning blows down on me or there is a draft,. However, this hat, still keeps my head warm, and looks good. I have received many complements about "how good it looks on me".I am going to buy a couple more, a half size smaller, and in different colours.
