Budget-priced, can pass for a much more expensive wine
This is a medium body red that has a relatively high alcohol content (13%), but is bursting with cherry, jam, a hint of vanilla and a touch of cardamom (to my palate). When you first open it, pour and swish the nose and flavors are still somewhat locked. Let it breathe for thirty minutes and the description I cited above becomes a reality. The wine is in the budget range and pairs with red meat beautifully. It also pairs with less distinctive cheeses like brie, and other soft, double creamed varieties. That's because a more distinct cheese like a blue, or more complex ones will fight for attention. However, sharp, salty cheeses made from sheep milk are a perfect pairing. This will also pair nicely with both white and red fish, and is absolutely perfect with lionfish. It also goes with light pasta dishes like spaghetti con aglio e olio, and even carbonara. My only complaint has to do with the bottle and not the wine. The plastic seal is difficult to remove because it's a tad too thick and strong. I actually had to resort to pliers to open mine! There is no cork - the top is a stopper that I would find to be very convenient. The bottom line, though, is this is an excellent wine for the price and could pass in a blindfold test for one that costs three times (or more). Highly recommended.

a nice little wine when it is on sale
A nice little Pinot Noir, but I am not an expert; definitely not a connoisseur. All I can really say is that I enjoyed this wine.Normally, I rarely buy wine or beer or ??? because I have a friend who attends AA, and I don't like to tempt him. That's why I usually only have a bottle of wine every month or so, and once I open a bottle, four days later I might have finished it off.Since I am not an expert, I normally buy my wine when it is on sale. I buy much less beer than I used to, because 12 and 24-packs take me so long to finish. I know that some wine daily is good for the health, but I have also read that you can get some of the same health benefits from grape juice, so perhaps I need to buy more grape juice. If you or your family enjoy good wines, Amazon has a great selection, and if you're 64 like me, you might appreciate the home delivery. But what the heck do I do with all the boxes???All I can ask is that1) I'd love to go to an Amazon tasting2) I'd love to have free box retrievalOf course, neither of these will ever happen. At least for #2, I can break down the boxes and fill one of the other boxes with the broken down cardboard. I hope I don't turn into a packrat like the woman in that movie about the door to door salesman with cerebral palsy.

Smooth, Inexpensive, Wonderful Pinot Noir
This is one of my most favorite Pinot Noir's. It's hard to find in my area - I will drive an hour south and stock up! Very reasonably priced
