Anti Snore Sleep Belt, Black/Gray, X-Large, 10.4 Ounce

My physician initially recommended this item to me and it did seem to help some but unfortunately my sleep apnea was so serious that it eventually required surgery. Great item for mild sleep apnea!

I was able to tolerate sleeping with it the first night, but it became increasing more uncomfortable to wear every subsequent night. I also found that contrary to the design, I was still able to roll onto my back in my sleep because it allowed me to rotate within the strap (which was worn snugly, but not too tight to affect my breathing). The final night I tried to sleep with the SlumberBump I was so uncomfortable that I wasn't able to fall asleep for over four hours until I removed the device. Only then was I finally able to fall asleep. These factors all contributed to my decision to stop trying to use it anymore.

My quality of life has improved a lot since I started using this. The instructions say to inflate it as much as you can and strap it as tight as is comfortable. When I did that though it was uncomfortable lying down with it. It's ok to not have it 100% inflated and as tight as possible. You can loosen it/deflate it a little and it will still keep you from lying on your back. I don't feel dead tired during the day anymore, so I definitely recommend it for apnea.

EDIT- SlumberBump made good on this by providing a replacement. The stopper on the replacement seals properly.Original Review:Possibly a good idea, but the air stopper pops right out. It is too narrow to fit the air valve, even with no pressure on the inflated air chamber.Is this a one-time part problem, or are they all using a defective plastic part?

Eagerly awaited item to assist with sleep problem-groaned when I saw "assembled in China" but tried to keep open mind-of course the bladder valve wouldn't work-2 people tried-wish I had a dollar for all the minutes wasted with China crap-boycott China anyone?

Well, it did keep me from rolling onto my back, but I did not use it per the horrible directions. Directions are minimal. It has a picture showing strap to chest not waist, but doesn't say what the benefit of chest vs waist is. The strap is awful! It is rigid and bulky and feels like sleeping on rocks for the most part. First, I am a woman and strapping this across my breasts was not appealing or comfortable. I tried just below and the strap hurt my ribs, so I went with the obvious choice and strapped it to my waist (as directions said not to do). Worked fine strapped around waist. I was unable to roll to my back. I will be changing out the straps as they are uncomfortable. I want straps that have some flex and are thinner. I don't understand how this would facilitate good breathing strapped tightly around the chest. This was the only product I could find to keep me from rolling over, so I am grateful it was available. However, it could be more comfortable with better straps. The directions are probably vague to avoid making claims so the FDA doesn't shut this down, but a bit about what the benefit of chest vs waist would have been nice especially as it is uncomfortable as directed. It is also darn hard to inflate.

The product is working for me, but it could be a bit thinner and still do the trick. I does what it promises.

Not sure it helps...but I keep trying it for a few hours

For some time I've got into the sleep habit of rolling onto my back (which I find particuilarly comfortable) - with the side effect of this that I would begin to snore loudly.Having tried numerous apps, mouthpieces and nasal sprays with some luck, I decided that this device which physically stops you rolling onto your back, would be worth a try to hopefully end snoring once and for all. To this end it works pretty good, there is an inflatable lumbar 'wedge' which you blow up by mouth that sits inside a pouch, which then fastens around your waist firmly. With the lumbar wedge in place it is practically impossible to roll over onto your back, or to sleep on your back at all.If your snoring is entirely due to lying flat on your back, I am confident this will solve your issue like it did for me. After a few weeks I found I could stop using the device, as I had 'trained' myself to sleep on my side.Downsides - you will look absolutely ridiculous. You've effectively got a giant bum bag/'fanny pack' on backwards. You'll feel stupid even if no one is there to see it. It also takes up a fair bit of space in the bed which might be an issue if you're sharing a small double.The biggest complaint about this though is the absolutely horrific, rip-off price. NINETY POUNDS for what is effectively a beachball in a bumbag. I took the plunge because I was pretty keen to stop snoring so as not to ruin an upcoming holiday and so made a rash purchase that I probably wouldn't have in other circumstances. You can readily find 'home made' ideas (e.g t-shirt with breast pocket and tennis ball, backpack with soccer ball....) which would likely work just as well, look no more ridiculous than the Slumber Bump and be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper.In short - it works, and I have no real complaints about how the device itself is constructed, it's made of good quality materials. However I wince every time I think about the fact that I spent £90 on it. I simply can't recommend it on that basis alone; £10-15 would be reasonable if you're reading this in a future when the price has been dropped.

Literally the worst thing I've ever bought.And they won't take a return, so I'm stuck with it.Please don't buy it, I feel so dumb for wasting my money on it.

Thought I would feedback on progress.2nd week and still early days yet. Wife is definitely getting more sleep and I’m waking up with less dehydration headaches but unfortunately I am getting an awful mid back ache when waking up. If I don’t wear the pack I dont suffer pain so definitely related.Really hoping this settles down as can’t continue with this pain long term!After a spell of not using it, I tried again last night, but unfortunately the back pain persists and I won’t be able to use the product anymore. Think the problem is that my lower body still tries to turn on to the back position but the bump stops the upper body resulting in a twisted torso. I’m sure it works for many just not me, not able to get a refund either through amazon, so that’s disappointing too.

Well this seems do be doing the job. Stops me sleeping on my back and I am not getting up in the morning feeling tired
