Junk that endangers your health and safety, but that Amazon proudly endorses
The photo looks very nice thanks to Photoshop. On the inaccurate amazon product graphics (let's face it, they are not really photos), the plastic shield looks like it is clear, and stiff enough to see though it clearly. That is not actually the case for most of these hats (I bought 3 types). Specifically for the baseball cap (the hat with a big brim) on the photo the somewhat hard plastic rests on the brim, but in real life, the plastic shield is too wide to rest on the brim. It falls under the brim and rests on your nose. So much for protecting your face. These photos are not accurate, not even close. Photoshop at its best. You will find that the plastic on all these hats is thin and wrinkled and smells like a PVC shower curtain. You might not recognise the smell if your country banned PVC shower curtains long ago due to health concerns. When you wear this hat your nose will be in direct contact with this material which may negatively impact your health (nausea, cancer and damage to your liver and reproductive system). The biggest problem with the PVC material as a face shield is that, being thin like a grocery store bag, it arrives already wrinkled. This makes it very hard to see through. Even if you heat up this plastic shield to try to straighten it, it will wrinkle again when you put down the hat after wearing it. Note that heating up PVC is what releases the harmful particles and is what prompted many countries (not China where this product was made) to ban PVC shower curtains. On top of the smell and the poor visibility due to natural wrinkling of the plastic shied, the shield gets very fogged up when you wear it (from your breath heating it up), which makes it even harder to see through.I believe that any face shied that is meant to be worn outdoors but that obstructs your view could be dangerous (you could miss incoming traffic or trip and fall on an obstacle in your way).Be careful about the return policy of Morchan. First of all, it is hard to communicate with the seller. 9 out of 10 replies are the following: "Is it acceptable that you can keep it or give it as a present for others? And I will give you 40% refund for you as a discount". It literally does not matter what you wrote in your email, this is the reply you will receive. After a month of trying, I finally got the seller's attention after Amazon support emailed the seller 4 times (the seller ignored the first 3 of these attempts). The seller then asked me to send back the product (you pay for shipping, that will cost you more than the product itself), and only then will the seller decide if they will refund me.See the photos that show just how hard it is to see through these PVC shields, how the brim of the cap is too small to hold up the soft plastic shield, and compare these hats to a real face shield lying next to them.Amazon does not have a problem with how this seller operates. I did not receive a refund for this product, and Amazon 'judged' that the product was just fine and I should keep it and wear it.
