Maguary Passion Fruit Juice Concentrate - 16.9 FL.Oz | Suco Concentrado de Maracujá Maguary - 500ml - (PACK OF 03)

We lived in Bolivia for a year and our favorite flavor was Maracuyá (a less sweet, more flavorful variety of passion fruit). The juice was heavenly--tart, acidic, bursting with flavor--but we appreciated the great maracuyá ice cream as well. This is the closest we've found to the real Bolivia maracuyá experience (so far). Mixed with vanilla ice cream it gives a good approximation of the real thing, and as juice it comes close as well. Don't dilute it 11:1 as the bottle says. For juice we do about 4-5:1 (water:concentrate) and sugar to taste. It's expensive, but if you're looking for that real maracuyá taste, this is pretty close. No added sweeteners, so you can mix it just the way you like it.

I grew up on an island in the caribbean, drinking fresh passion fruit juice at least once a week. I am now moved to the middle of the United States and have greatly missed my juice, so I bought a few different concentrates of passion fruit juice to see which one I liked best. This one is just okay. I can taste the passion fruit, but it's not very strong. It also has an odd aftertaste that I just can't get over.

The flavor is authentic. Sugar or some type of sweetener will need to be added to make it palatable. I use it for syrup on my shaved ice..super yummy! I'm from Hawaii and its hard to find lilikoi which is a passion fruit so I purchased this instead. It's a bit pricey but delicious.

Great product. I use it for making passion fruit syrup for use in rum tiki drinks. Dissolve 2 cups sugar (turbinado works great) into 1 cup water and you get appx 2 cups syrup. Then add 1 cup of the juice concentrate and shake/stir. Makes a great ingredient for rum and fruit drinks.
