I've had a pair of these for years, and every time I use them I think they're probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. I like them well enough that I just bought several more pairs to give to family and friends.As scissors... well, good scissors are good scissors, and these are.What makes them great, however, is that little metal tip that triggers out from the small grip. That is an absolute whiz at opening or breaking down cardboard shipping boxes and, more importantly, the unpleasant molded cut-your-fingers plastic packaging that so many items seem come in. It's only about 3/16" long, and so doesn't damage anything inside what is being opened. Since I use mine often to open things, I wondered when I first bought them how long they'd last (at first glance, the trigger mechanism didn't seem to be all that sturdy); that was probably 7 - 8 years ago, and they're still going strong.I highly recommend these.

My guys love these scissors. We work in the IT department and boxes arrive daily. The packaging often needs both a box cutter and a scissor (tape, plastic ties) so this is handier than having to tote around both scissors and a box cutter. The last pair we ordered - years ago - is still working. They just need to remember to clean off the accumulating tape goop now and then.Comfort level is good too. My guys have varying hand sizes and it works for all of them.

I thought that this scissors would come in handy, but it just hasn't worked out that way. The scissors is not really a good scissors let alone a good box cutter. The scissors is so lightweight and feels very cheap. It is the last one I pull out of the drawer when I need a scissors. The box cutter is not real intuitive to use. While it does lock so the box cutter remains closed, it's never quick to unlock it to use it. If I have to mess around with unlocking something for more than 20 seconds, it's useless in my book. The blade is also about a quarter of an inch long which is ridiculous. I would pass on this one. I think I am going to go throw it in the trash right now while I am thinking about it.

It seems most packages today always need to be opened with a scissors or box cutter. This is 2 in 1 and I love it!

Scissors are sharp. The box cutter part doesn't fully come out. I had another one that worked as it should and it was great. Quality control needs work.

These scissors are awesome! Not only is the box cutter feature really nice to have (perfect kitchen junk-drawer scissors when we bring in packages and need to cut the boxes open) but the blades are nice and sharp too.

Replaced a lost pair that I had used for YEARS! A permanent fixture that stays next to my keyboard. I order many things online and these are my 'go to' box opener.

Overview: These are great scissors comfortable to use (even for a left handed person), with the added benefit of the "pop-out" box cutter.Detail: When opening parcels & boxes this ingenious little device makes cutting the securing tape a breeze, just by holding the scissors the "wrong way round", you can single handedly release the safety catch, pop out the box cutter blade and cut the packing tape around your parcel. I'm left handed and both the scissors and the box cutter work perfectly well for either left or right handed people.If you just want a pair of scissors - there's lots to choose from, if you want scissors with a box cutter - these were the only ones I could find.Value: They may seem slightly expensive, once you've got them, you'll wonder how you managed without them.Delivery: These, I believe, came from the USA. Delivery wasn't quick - over a week.Packaging: Outer packaging was fine, product packaging was a blister pack - could have done with the scissors to get into the packaging!Recommend: I'd recommend these.
