Hiya ToysRobocop (1987): ED209 (with Sound) 1:18 Scale Action Figure, Multicolor

It surpassed my expectations, and the model looks better than the prototype picture. The amount of attention to detail is stunning. It is absolutely beautiful, and could not be more satisfied. I cannot imagine how much work went into the detail from the good folks at HiYa. This HiYa newly released ED 209 looks and feels like it could actually be filmed in the original movie as the stop motion model. The weight feels just right, and seems durable for years to come. Articulation points are well thought out and pretty much perfect, and has just the right amount of stiffness to make it easy to maneuver quickly. Arms can 360 around, as well as the cannon pods, and move from side to side, which gives ED the ability to aim his cannons in virtually any direction.Also wanted to say (and this is NOT a complaint by any means) that his leg shafts are very snug, so be careful when adjusting the height of the leg shafts, because you will have to use some force to raise and lower them on the leg shafts.Stunningly beautiful model, and lots of nice potential model posing. I also want to praise Amazon for the extremely fast shipping, and appreciate all of you guys at Amazon, and also a HUGE thank you to HiYa and the HiYa staff.

I use it as a Business Card Holder on my desk at work (his legs make a perfect card holder). The amount of detail on this is awesome. The ONLY complaint is the sounds are very quiet and kind of stink. Other than that its a great little toy for grown ups.

Even though I’m 38 years old, I bought this because I wondered what this particular robot from the Robocop movie looked like. I happen to be totally blind, and this is the best way to find out. So I buy these toys for educational purposes. it would probably be fine for a little kid to play with and pose around, and as promised, the sound effects were most definitely movie accurate. But I wish that the figure was bigger, like the vintage buzz Lightyear figures from the Mid90s, and I also wish that the sound were louder, as the buzz Lightyear figure sound effects were. In other words, this could’ve been dealt better.

Looks extremely accurate to the movie but the sound feature is so quiet it's barely useable. Also some of the wires on the arm joint seem to have disconnected

I finally have it and at an affordable price and at a size that doesn't take up too much space, but still LOOKS huge.If you're reading this review then there is no question about it. ED-209 can be a bit of an A-Hole sometimes. He does not give you much time to lower your weapon before he decides to use lethal force and sometimes he does not even care if you do drop your weapon. So be warned about this behavior. He can be very clumsy, so make sure to keep him as far away from any stairwells as you can. And also keep him as far far away from your armed friends and relatives as you can because if you do not, bad things will happen!With that out of the way, the details on this little model are pretty good. It's a shame this company does not make bigger 12+ inch versions. But if you are pressed for space, this small ED-209 might be just the right size for you!

I’ve been looking to find an ED 209 figure for some time. Those that I did find were out of my price range. Thankfully, this Hiya toys figure went on sale and I pulled the trigger. It displays very nicely.
