I had these years ago and I used to love them so much, but it was so difficult to find them. When I saw these on Amazon, I was so happy and had to order some. However, I was disappointed.... the quality have dropped significantly.... It used to be clean, tangy, fresh apple taste, but this pack was over cooked, taste a bit 'woody' and you get all sorts of 'bits' in it - apple seeds, small bit of twigs (may be I ate the twig, that's why it tasted a bit woody..... 😅) one bit that I ate was very bitter aswell, I am guessing I ate a seed that got stuck on a crisp...Want to love these - you get good amount in the pack, they are crispy, tangy with slight apple taste, but these are also woody and bitter if you ate the seeds and the tiny twigs that got stuck on the crisps...Will not buy again unfortunately.....

I've tried a few types of dried apple crisps recently, and most of them are only nice once you've forced yourself to eat half a packet.Not these! These are the tastiest snacks I have ever eaten. I'm not exaggerating - these really are absolutely delicious. I am ashamed to say that I ate six packets in one sitting when I first found them. Everyone I have shared them with has enjoyed them. The taste is a classic bramley apple taste but not sharp at all. I'd like to try the Perry Court Farm sweet apple ones but now I've tasted perfection I just can't imagine they'd fulfil my hopes. I do love pineapple so I hope they bring some of those out in the future.My favourite way to eat these is to empty a couple of packets into a small wooden bowl so it looks just like potpourri. You will get some strange looks when you start eating them, but you will be able to eat a good portion before others catch on which is good because once they realise how delicious they are they are normally scoffed pretty quickly.

Not as bad as the pear version but still chewy with very few pieces for the money.

I must say this is a lovely product. However, of course it would be more ecological to have your food in a bit larger packages to minimize the amount of wrapping material, but, in defense for this 20 g/item size, this 20 g in my view is just the right amount to have per occasion. The pieces have that much sweetness, and for me, 20 g of this does the job. It's practical to take one with you for a snack.This product seems to have an even sweeter alternative. I haven't tasted that, and probably won't because this tangy-sort is great and really sweet enough. There's no use in trying to change a system that works. :)The dried apple pieces are indeed very crisp and have a wonderful, rich apple taste.
