Latch looks good but the package was tore open with no key and locked so it is useless the Amazon shipping package was sealed so it had to be that way before it was shipped very disappointed in this one

Missing key, weak lock, poor customer service.
Really like these latches, but for some reason they become brittle after a good season of fishing. When I ordered my replacement, the key was missing, not a big deal for me, but the latch came locked. Tried to get with customer service and never got any response back. Finally just grabbed a flat head screwdriver and turned the lock manually, which didn’t take much effort but at least made the latch functional. Thankfully I’m not too concerned about them actually locking. So just information for anyone else who orders one and the key is missing. Flat head screwdriver will turn the lock so it can unlock and be used. But don’t trust the lock against thieves.
